Romney now channeling President Bill Clinton.

Clinton worked with Republicans and managed to have a balanced budget with Newt's help. He may be pond scum, but hindsight is 20/20. He was much better than Obama.

Not sure why it's wrong to point that out. Except it makes Obama look like a weaker leader.

No he didn't.

Newt Gingrich closed down government twice..and tried to bring Bill Clinton to his knees. But Clinton wouldn't budge.

Add in that for Clinton got his budgets passed without the help of Republicans.

Man...thats gotta hurt if you're a republican trying to find a reason to vote FOR Romney....

Why? There are lots of reasons to vote for Romney:

His leadership experience
His experience in the private sector creating jobs
His willingness to cut the budget.
His respect for Federalism.
His tax policy

If he wants to create some issues for Democrats by pointing out things Clinton did somewhat well, why would that bother me?

You can't make this stuff up. Romney now is singing the praises of Bill Clinton. He's calling him a "New Democrat" that didn't raise taxes and made the government smaller. Not only is that laughable..it's wrong. Clinton raised taxes. He implemented one of the largest tax hikes in history. It wasn't quite as large as Reagan's..but it was close.

Add in..Republicans absolutely loathed Bill Clinton. They tried chasing him out of office, left him more then 7 million dollars and debt and made him give up his law license. Limbaugh daily use to say that "America was being held hostage" by Bill Clinton.

Romney's disgusting.

Seriously.

He's a fucking liar and will do or say anything to get elected.

no one expects romney to praise ronald reagan. romney is probably to the left of bill clinton.

I am channeling Hendrix through my stereo right now. Band of gypsies. Does that count?

Man...thats gotta hurt if you're a republican trying to find a reason to vote FOR Romney....

Why? There are lots of reasons to vote for Romney:

His leadership experience
Okay...1 term as governor of Mass. After 4 years, Obama has the same amount of experience. A push.

His experience in the private sector creating jobs
Evidence shows that there were a lot of jobs lost as well. I think you do have a point though with his experience in the private sector...not all of it (or any of it really) translatable to the role of President.

His willingness to cut the budget.
He's actually going to expand the military budget. Cuts to what? Oh yeah, entitlements and anything resembling a regulatory body.

His respect for Federalism.
Okay...whatever that means.

His tax policy
Which will apparently increase the deficit higher than one can imagine...

If he wants to create some issues for Democrats by pointing out things Clinton did somewhat well, why would that bother me?

Because it speaks to his flip-flopper image; just wait. This story is hours old. I'm sure there will be someone pointing out where he said the near opposite. Maybe not. But let me ask you this; at this point, if you see a video of him ragging on Clinton....will it surprise you?

Democrats gave Reagan a pass. They knew he was looney tunes...

do u feel u need to attack to feel superior? Why do u have to attack a good man who had a conditintion he couldnt control?

How come libs can say a murderer needs anotehr chance but certain people of a certain party arent worth a first chance?

During the cold war the US provided money, guns and training to those fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan, including Bin Laden. Of course Bin Laden wasn't a "terrorist" then he was one of the Mujahideen that where fighting the Soviets. It was considered in the best interests of the US if the Soviets lost in Afghanistan. The problem was that after the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan the US abandoned the country and left a lawless failed state which lead to the Taliban coming to power.

That was the funniest part, IMO.

For all of Willie's job growth, a good portion was BG positions

I guess we all have different versions of the past.

There's his side, my side and the truth, kinda thing.....

Well..putting your lot in with "Freedom fighters", eh?

Osama wasn't the only despicable character Reagan was funding. The Contras killed and raped American nuns..and still Reagan's coffers were open.

Iran took American hostages..and Reagan sold those band of zealots., weapons.

And there is of course the matter of the murderous Saddam Hussien..

How many excuses you gonna make for the guy?

But when all is said and done, it is the economic revolution that gained steam during the Reagan years and is still squeezing the life out of the middle class and the poor that is Reagan’s most significant legacy. A phony version of that legacy is relentlessly promoted by right-wingers who shamelessly pursue the interests of the very rich while invoking the Reagan brand to give the impression that they are in fact the champions of ordinary people.

To help them fight the Sandinistas, who had toppled the ruthless dictator Somoza and undertook socialist reforms in Nicaragua. Their leader, Daniel Ortega, was democratically elected as the country's leader a year later, in 1980.

In other words, he funded the contras to try to re-establish by force an oppressive system that the people there didn't want.

President Reagan professed ignorance of the plot's existence. He appointed two Republicans and one Democrat (John Tower, Brent Scowcroft and Edmund Muskie, known as the "Tower Commission") to investigate the scandal. The commission could not find direct evidence that Reagan had prior knowledge of the program, but criticized him heavily for his disengagement from managing his staff, making the diversion of funds possible.[170] A separate report by Congress concluded that "If the president did not know what his national security advisers were doing, he should have."[170] Reagan's popularity declined from 67 percent to 46 percent in less than a week, the greatest and quickest decline ever for a president.[171] The scandal resulted in fourteen indictments within Reagan's staff, and eleven convictions.[/QUOTE]

The Iran-Contra affair became the largest political scandal in the United States during the 1980s.[167] The International Court of Justice, whose jurisdiction to decide the case was disputed,[168] ruled that the U.S. had violated international law in Nicaragua due to its obligations not to intervene in the affairs of other states.[169]

Ha. Ha.--Bill Clinton has been praising Romney's record at Bain Capital. This really must have your panties in a wad.
