Well, since there's only 13 million blacks in the US, and there's over 10-20 times as many whites you'd think that.
But my time in the military taught me that the percentages didn't match. A much higher percentage of blacks are gay.

In a fundraising email titled “dismantling woke Marxist ideologies," right-wing GOP congressman Paul Gosar responded to a recent report showing that the number of white recruits in the military has dropped significantly, Vice News reported.

“The number of white recruits has plummeted,” Gosar wrote. “[It’s] a casualty of this cultural skirmish that has left our Army beleaguered and besieged by ‘woke’ ideologies.”

A recent investigation by Military.com found that there was a total of 44,042 new white Army recruits in 2018, but that number dropped consistently each year to a low of 25,070 in 2023.

In contrast, some white nationalists and neo-Nazis online celebrated Military.com’s findings, according to Vice's report.

“Reject the anti-white American Empire,” white nationalist publication VDARE declared in response to the report. Encourage your sons to stay far, far away from service to a nation that hates you… And guess what: It’s happening.”

“Young white men don’t want to fight for a regime that despises them,” far-right conspiracy theorist Paul Joseph Watson wrote on Telegram. “Who could have possibly anticipated this?”

That probably accounts in large part for the lack of recruits in general. If one demographic is dropping in recruiting at a time when the military is struggling to fill its ranks it might be a good idea to figure out why.

I would feel more comfortable in expressing those sentiments in more diplomatic and gentle language.

Maybe something like:

This nation is changing very fast when it comes to matters of ethnicity and progressive views. So it is understandable that the number of Caucasian young gentlemen who wish to enter the military is plummeting.

Said by a man born in 1941, lived 23 years in Jim Crow by written law, and graduated from college, if he went, before blacks could vote.

Well, lessee, traditionally for 200 years, white kids made up the backbone of our military. They by and large created the military and by and large fought and won every major war--- that is, when we used to actually WIN wars!

So the question now becomes: if whites are now dramatically dropping off in recruitment, is it because they are choosing to and why? Shouldn't that be a matter of great concern? And if not, then the only other conclusion is that they are being RACIALLY EXCLUDED in a deliberate act of racist policy, instead filling the roles with minorities.

Kinda funny: had this been done years ago, a bunch of white guys slanting the military so that mostly only people of color and minorities had to fight foreign wars in combat and die, it would have been decried as slavery and abuse of minorities. Now you stupid fuckwits champion it as a banner of honor. Good for you, go fight and die in a foreign war! Sadly, it really signals the declining roles of our military and the declining competency and readiness of the USA to defend herself.
