Republicans are trying to go back on a deal they already passed to keep the government funded. Republicans passed massive multi-year, trillion dollar spending bills under Trump, and we need to pay for those bills now, but Republicans are refusing to pay for the bills they passed.

GW Bush started his presidency with a balanced budget, and ended with an economy in ruin and a trillion dollar deficit.
Trump started his presidency with a $600B annual deficit, passed massive spending bills before covid and after, and left office with a record $3+T/yr deficit.

Biden lowered that $3+T/yr deficit down to $1.3T/yr last year.

The republicans are responsible for the bulk of America's debt because their policies caused it, now they are playing games and don't want to pay for it after previously agreeing on it.

New budget every year, Dipsqueeze.
Trump and the republicans blew up the deficit to record levels, before and after covid, and now they don't want to pay for the bills they passed.

They passed multi year spending bills, and spending all the way out to 2028, with their out of control big spending, now they want to play games and not pay for their own bills.

I am worried abouta government shut down

The republicans agreed to a budget deal, now they are going back on their word/agreement like little rats.

Republicans can't be trusted at all, and they are the ones that caused all our debt, their policies and out of control spending bills caused this debt.

Nazi Piglosi controlled the purse strings from 2018 until 2022, Moron.

I love how all your threads are 100% bullshit.

Every year since 1981 when I turned 18, budget negotiations have been between Democrats demanding more spending than Republicans, and Republicans being willing to spend a lot. And Democrats had nothing to do with our spending issues, just Republicans?

You sir, are an idiot. The real thing

You seem to forget piglosi was speaker of the house

Deficits don't carry over from year to year.

That's not true with how we do budgeting. When they pass bills, they pass automatic increases for years to come and don't count those increases as budget increases. We need zero based budgeting, then what you said would be true

Zero based budgeting is how it should be done. Good catch.

Yes and the republicans passed are their mega massive trillion dollar spending bills in 2017 and 2018. And Trump signed all the bills in 2020 and begged congress for even more spending.

I think you mean Dems passed Biden's massive spending bills.

When Trump started his presidency the annual deficit was $600B
By 2019, Trump blew it up to $1T with it set to be even higher in 2020 before covid hit. When Trump left office it was at an insane $3.3T.
Biden lowered it all the way to $1.3T last year.

I mean the republicans caused all this debt with their massive spending bills, and now they don't want to pay for their debt.
Biden has lowered the annual deficit, trump raised it significantly.

Leftwingers are always dishonest. Democrats crashed the economy when the took over Congress the last two years of Bush by allowing thousands of bad loans to unqualified black borrowers. causing the Great Recession. Bush did an outstanding job on the economy the first six years. Democrats ruined the last two.
And it's the same with Trump who did an outstanding job under Democrat governors trashed his economy with COVID shutdowns.
