Republicans: Stupid or Lying to themselves

It's just another social wedge issue hot button for them to push. It's one of the things that divide us. Bring up gun regulations to a Republican and see what they do.
I just roll my eyes. At this point it's easier to take the child away from the toys than to take the toys away from the child.

Why would Russia encourage gun ownership in America?
Ask the NRA, they along with republicans are the ones who visited Russia.

The National Rifle Association made its first public attempt this week to distance itself from any formal involvement in a now infamous trip to Moscow undertaken by a group of its high-ranking members, but internal NRA emails and photos posted on social media reviewed by ABC News appear to show the organization was significantly involved in planning it.

The December 2015 trip, which involved meetings with senior Kremlin officials, has attracted increased scrutiny in the wake of the arrest and guilty plea of gun rights activist and alleged Russian agent Maria Butina, who was involved in planning the trip.

An NRA employee appears to help Butina make travel arrangements for a delegation that included former NRA president David Keene, future NRA president Pete Brownell, NRA fundraiser Joe Gregory, NRA benefactor Dr. Arnold Goldschlager and his daughter Hilary, Outdoor Channel CEO Jim Liberatore, and prominent NRA advocate and Trump campaign surrogate David Clarke, then the sheriff of Milwaukee County.

i NEVER HAD SEX WITH THAT WOMAN...Ms Lewinsky....I just gave her a collectible dress
President Trump admitted Thursday to reimbursing his lawyer for a $130,000 payment made on the eve of the 2016 election to porn actress Stormy Daniels as part of a settlement about her alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump.

Trump, however, denied any sexual encounter and claims the payment was in no way connected with the campaign — despite the timing.

Trump couldn't grab her pussy.............without paying $$$.

In 26+ states (including Arizona and Georgia)...the GOP was in control of doing that.

You guys will claim fraud anytime an election doesn't go your way.
It must be hard to be a crazy fembot with so many conflicting emotions bouncing around.
The Dems have been denying election results for decades.

Maybe don't make it so obvious when you cheat so much & don't put it on record that ya'll are the original "election deniers"

306>232...nothing hard about it (for the democrats).

False.

LOL...

2 years later, your blob has claimed voter fraud robbed him 3 times. He has yet to prove it even once.

Try to hide your idiocy better next time.

The people you think are not interested are just too scared. There's a world of brave people out there willing to do the hard work to save western civilization from it's destructive addiction to excess.
Excess? What excess?

The elections are as secure as they have ever been; hence no sizable voter fraud was uncovered in the 2020 election. So drop that argument right there.

You guys have won exactly one popular vote since the 1988 and that was in 2004 during a war. That was pretty much the same time Newt Gingrich and Fox News came along and you guys started trying to portray yourselves as being victimized, embraced misogyny, and decided that it was better to have no government than one that functions. The Garland move was just the most obvious example of the agenda.
You read the OP, right?

The popular vote means NOTHING in terms of Federal Elections. It only indicates that the democrat Party has a dependable and sizable Voter Fraud Organization. Biden even bragged about it

The Electoral college vote is supposed to reflect the popular vote.

Established in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, the Electoral College is the formal body which elects the President and Vice President of the United States. Each state has as many "electors" in the Electoral College as it has Representatives and Senators in the United States Congress, and the District of Columbia has three electors. When voters go to the polls in a Presidential election, they actually vote for the slate of electors who have vowed to cast their ballots for that ticket in the Electoral College.

Most states require that all electoral votes go to the candidate who receives the most votes in that state. After state election officials certify the popular vote of each state, the winning slate of electors meet in the state capital and cast two ballots—one for Vice President and one for President.

There is no federal law that requires electors to vote as they have pledged, but 29 states and the District of Columbia have legal control over how their electors vote in the Electoral College. This means their electors are bound by state law and/or by state or party pledge to cast their vote for the candidate that wins the statewide popular vote.

If that is the case…It must suck to have the other side cheat so well for 45 years and you can’t prove any of it. So are you guys just impotent idiots or are the Democrats 1,000,000 times smarter than you?

Sounds less about gun ownership and more about influencing American politics.

WTF?
You're delusional.
YOU know better than the lawmakers?
Why did 29 out of 50 states adopt this provision?
Why would ANYONE want 535 electors to decide the fate of 330 million people?
You Fail Civics.
Evidently, YOU never attended a history class in grade school, let alone a civics class.
Well, maybe.................At Trump U.
What public school did you attend?
A better one than you did.

Smokin' OP,

How is it in Russia's interests for Americans to be armed to the teeth? Do they believe there will be a Bolshevik style revolution here some day? Don't they understand that it is the red states that have the most 'gun nuts', and that their liberal friends here recoil in horror at the very sight of a gun? :omg:

SO.................WHY was in NRA involved?

The mass shooting last week at an elementary school in Connecticut sparked calls for stricter gun control laws in the United States. But thousands of kilometers away, the fledgling gun lobby in Moscow drew a different lesson: Gun laws in Russia should be liberalized.

"In this shooting six teachers died, six people who could literally use only their hands to defend children," said Maria Butina, the organization's 24-year old founder. "The murderer planned this knowing that no one would be armed."

Boosted by a surge of civic activism and a stream of new violence that has kept guns in the news, leaders of Russia’s gun movement -- virtually nonexistent a year ago -- say all they have to do now is convince Russians themselves of the value of greater access to guns.

And their rhetoric appears to be inspired, at least in part, by that of the gun lobby in the United States.

Unlike the U.S. Constitution, which enshrines the right to bear arms in its Second Amendment, there are no such guarantees in Russia's basic law. Nevertheless, Butina, who also claims membership in the National Rifle Association, said gun possession is a civil liberty.

"What is the right to life, ingrained in our constitution, if you don’t have the right to bear arms? If a person wishes to defend himself, he has no means for protection," she said.

To divide people.

Not saying it wouldn't be attempted, but it wouldn't be any match for the US armed forces.
Don't they understand that it is the red states that have the most 'gun nuts', and that their liberal friends here recoil in horror at the very sight of a gun? :omg:
Sure............keep thinking that.
Like Russia did with Ukraine or the US did with Iraq.

Despite declining numbers, the NRA is still a huge political force. Common interest in gun ownership might be a political trojan horse.
