Republicans Set to Gain Seats in 2018

(D)Donnelly of Indiana is in a precarious position. Not well liked and a deep red state. Both his possible challengers are well knowns also.

An understanding of "most likely" is necessary when reading such things.

You could have 10 seats and one seat you'd get 10% for Republicans and 1% for all the others, the one with 10% is "most likely" to flip, even if there's no chance at all.

Also, this is the seats that could flip, and number one is a Republican held seat. Oh.

"The 2018 Senate map heavily favors Republicans, who will only defend eight seats, just two of which are considered vulnerable right now."

Yeah, they're defending 8 seats, two of which they could lose.

"Democrats have to defend 25 seats, including 10 in states that Trump won in 2016."

Doesn't mean they'll flip.

Number 2 is Claire McCaskill who increased her percentage last time around.

Trump won Missouri, but didn't he also win Alabama? Oh.

Chris Matthews: Democrats culturally out of touch with voters, ‘too far to the left’
Matthews...who worked for Tip O’Neal...realizes the truth. O’Neal could not be a significant figure in 2017 Democratic Party.

The Democrats are not just "out of touch", they loath mainstream middle class voters and their incredible corruption and their nefarious skullduggery is a threat to our democracy

Both parties are out of touch. They don't "loath", they just manipulate people.

The stars aligned, we agree on something

Clean power plan gone. And what effect has that had? How many new coal plants under construction in the US right now?

Will the U.S. Ever Build Another Big Coal Plant?

Will the U.S. Ever Build Another Big Coal Plant?
The coal industry is contracting as plants retire and utilities replace them with natural gas and renewables

About 16 percent of the U.S. coal fleet has retired in the past five years, but don't expect major new coal-fired plants to fill that void.

The federal government counts four new coal projects on a list of planned power plants nationwide. Three of those face long odds, and none will be able to replace the millions of tons in lost coal demand resulting from recent retirements, even as the Trump administration has vowed to revive the ailing industry.

The developer of a proposed 320-megawatt unit in Wyoming is facing jail time after pleading guilty to stealing government cash. A Kentucky coke plant that would have generated electricity as a byproduct has been scrapped. And a planned $2.1 billion plant in Georgia has idled.

The sole U.S. coal facility under construction: a tiny plant being built by the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

The above link will show how much solar has been, and is being, installed in the various states. In the meantime, no new large coal generation plants. They simply cannot economically compete with either solar or wind.

Are you on the right thread?

It will all be decided depending on how the next 10 months pan out.

Once tax reform is in place, it's all but assured. Massive growth, jobs, return of foreign U,S money to the tune of $4T, a return to embracing Israel as an ally in the region, middle class getting a couple of grand back at tax season and doing their own taxes on a postcard.

I'd say this alone will catapult the GOP, and the loss of Alabama from a candidate worse than a Hillary as he is a suspected creep, will just remind these guys that NO complacency or backstabbing will go unpunished.

God Bless America! Get 'er done Trump!

 Wanna buy a bridge?

All thanks to whites leaving the Democrats in droves every year.

Republicans would be smart to acknowledge this and understand why non-whites vote Democrat.

Republicans Set to Gain Seats in 2018

After we finish running hundreds of ads detailing Dem's abusing women, raping them, forcing them into performing sexual acts to get/keep their jobs and Dem's lose millions of women voters you can put a fork in the Democratic party :laugh::laugh:

Your modern republic voter?

Rural, white and over 65.

So the gain made has been the ground work by Obama...

This is good laugh...

They are still blaming the banking crisis on Obama...

Trump has done legislatively effectively nothing to help or hindered the economy and now they want credit.
Kind of interesting how obie couldn't get this kind of economy going in eight years but Trump has done it in one. Yet you think obie deserves credit. Credit for what exactly? Credit for keeping the economy down and once Trump got in and people thought the stupid obie era was over they could do something? What exactly are you thinking obie did well to warrant such a strong reaction that could only happen after he was gone?

They could if the federal tax subsidies were equal. Without tax dollars you would have no wind or solar power plants. Coal would kick your ass.

Yeah and as the economy gets stronger the GOP will continue to benefit...No one that I know wants Obama's growth rate and sluggish job growth back again...not even the liberals that I know...

The growth rate is barely changed from last year. As soon as there is an R in the white house you guys believe all sorts of stupid things.

Growth is only slightly better than last year. Obama had several quarters better than this year...
