Republican House Rule 26(A) Bars Trump From Speaker of The House.

Oh Goody, with McCarthy gone and Republican Leadership in tatters comes a chance for Trump to become Speaker....or alas never.

Under Republican House Rule 26(A) clearly states,"A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed.”

Republicans Have Already Barred Trump From Being Speaker of The House.

Republican House Rule 26(A) is very clear. Any house leadership must step aside if indicted for a felony for whch a sentence of two or more years of imprisonment can be imposed.

P01135809 faces 91-Separate Felony Counts, including 31-Counts of violating the Espionage Act of 1917.

He ain't eligble for Speaker or will Republicans break their own rule.
So, since Republicans changed it to that rule, you don't think they could change it back?

all fake, made up charges, all will be defeated in court, this whole thing is being done because the dems and libs and their media cronies are scared shitless that Trump will expose and prosecute their corruption and treason in a second term.

It is a mute point.
Moot, not mute.

By themselves, they could not vote down the funding resolution or get rid of McCarthy without the help of the Democrats. How many Democrats in Congress do you think they can get to vote for Donald Trump?:auiqs.jpg:
They don't need the Democrats if every Republican votes for Trump.

Wow, a House rule that the House could change. You got him this time!!!!
It would be a huge strategic blunder for the GOP to change the rule to accommodate Trump.

Huge.

But then again, the GOP is not known for strategic thinking these days.

Nevertheless, I suspect Donald Trump will bow out of the competition to save face.

and if the indictment is fake??????????????????????????????? if it is dismissed????????????????
Good luck with that.

Trump has failed every single court challenge for the past three years.

He's going to be criminally tried. You need to put your big boy pants on and get used to it.

They don't need to change the rule. I posted the rule and it has nothing to do with preventing someone under indictment from being Speaker. Liberals couldn't even cite the proper rule. Are we surprised that they lie about what the rule says?

Donald isn't going to attempt to be SOH for two reasons:

1) He would lose
2) It's a secret ballot, so he wouldn't even know which RINOs to hold a grudge against.

Rules? Rules? We don't need no stinkin' rules!

LOL

All the Republicans have to do is amend the rule to exclude anybody that is under indictment for political reasons.

Like we are seeing here in this Banana Republic.

An individual facing 91-Separate Felony Counts, including 31-Counts of violating the Espionage Act of 1917. Amending the rule this scum, a traitor. Figures you people love treason.

It also prevents from hold the office. He cannot serve as Speaker as long as he is under indictment. Its called dancing the head of pin and you are NOT good at Harry. He cannot while under indictment.
Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) said House Republicans would change House rules if need be to make former President Trump the next House Speaker.

A handful of Republicans have floated the possibility of electing Trump to replace former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who was ousted from his leadership position Tuesday.

If the Republicans repeal that rule for Trump, they will have shot themselves in the face in front of the entire country.
You mean just like Pelosi did when she changed the impeachment vote rule?

Not every Republican would vote for trump, dreamer. Current odds say Donny has a less than 2.% chance, and that is if the Repubublican all voted to change Rule 25 of their own voted on rules that say nobody facing felony indictment can run for or hold a leadership position in the Republican House. So, the possiblility is still a moot point, as in, "it ain't happening".
