I do not support Representative Omar' proposed law because I believe the issue regarding the federal banning of the right for a state to boycott Israel should be settled by the Supreme Court in accordance with the Constitution and not through her legislation.

I've not informed myself enough on the constitutional arguments to have strong opinion, my instinct says this should be treated like treaties and side with laws banning international boycotts by state and local governments.

It is the other way around, and economics should not allow for any government involvement at all.
It is not at all like a treaty in that treaties are where government exchange privileges.
An economic boycott law, either for or against a particular country, are totally and completely illegal.
Individuals and companies have the 1st amendment right to do business, boycott, support, or not support, whomever they wish.
