    current events. In reacting to the recent Dred Scott decision by the Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of slavery ( the court upheld slavery) Ole Abe states just before his inauguration. ('member honorable friends use to be March 20th.....)

    Now doesn't that just shoot the argument out of the abortion decision (Roe vs Wade) and another potential decision regarding gay/same sex/ marriage as being allowed to be decided solely by the courts?

    Let's face it folks the Congress and Executive have been less than courageous in fullfilling their role of making and passing law.. We cannot allow this abrogation of the will of the people to long continue... Or we have "ceased to be their (our) own rulers...

    I'm all for putting abortion rights and gay marriage rights on a one time ballot. Let the people decide completely.

    I dont know about Abortion, but gay marriage was on the ballot in California and the people voted against it. it didnt stop civil authorities from violating the law and forcing gay marriage on the people.
