Zone1 SCOTUS Is Broken; Can It Be Fixed?

I reported it to we taking bets the mods do nothing?

It happened a couple of times last night and I said something about it because there were maudes participating in both threads where the OP rule violation concessions were granted.

Same scenario. "Lefty'' OP just shit stirring. Copypasta the artcle, no user content. Same ''lefty'' poster in both of those instances.

I see threads closed all of the time for no user content whenever it's one of those ''right wingers'' though.

White, to his credit, seems to be about the only consistent one left.

There are reasons all the good ones have stepped down.

I think it's a little disingenuous for people on the left to complain about SCOTUS making laws when they were perfectly happy with them doing it when it had a liberal majority.

What liberals need to do is learn how to legislate effectively.

If you want abortion to be legal, then go to the state legislatures and make that case! Pro-choice people had 50 years to codify Roe into law, and refused to do it.
When was that?
When SCOTUS decided
Racial segregation was wrong
Black people should be allowed to vote
Women should control their own bodies

Please tell me when I've hit that "liberal" sweetspot.

The last time a Democrat appointed a Chief Justice it was Harry Truman
by my count more than 2/3 of justices appointed since 1950 were appointed by Republicans.

So, again, I ask, WHEN WAS THAT?

Hey, how come a lot of you lefties don't have to add user content to the OPs but the rest of us do?

Seems like a trend lately in terms of arbitrary concessions to the rules. I even see maudes posting in those threads, so I know they see it.

I usually don't report em, but I reported this one.

This two-tiered rule enforcement system needs to be nipped in the bud.

Whenever these so-called right wingers don't add user content that stuff gets shut down quicker than a feller can blink, observably.

off topic, reported.

off topic, reported.

Well that's nothing new.

The people who speak up about it are the ones who tend to get the maude actions anyway. And just for speaking up about it.

I think the clowns have officially taken over the circus.

With regard to your report, the topic is invalid anyway because it violates the OP rules.

If I get a maude action or a deleted post for being off-topic in a thread headed by an illegal OP, then we know for sure that the commies have fully seized the controls. lol...

isn't he the guy that wanted to stack the court in the 40s?

Ike said repeatedly that Warren was the biggest mistake he ever made.

Souter was a disaster...Kennedy and O'Connor were wind socks.... Roberts is a joke in the poorest of taste....Those are just off the top of my head.

Just because a republican nominated them, doesn't mean that they were worth a fuck.

The issue is not with the Supreme Court. It's with the failed parties.

The Supreme Court is a supreme threat to American democracy. That was Abraham Lincoln’s view in light of the Dred Scott decision, expressed in his First Inaugural Address. And it was vividly illustrated after Lincoln's assassination, when the Civil War amendments and civil rights legislation passed by Congress were effectively nullified by the Supreme Court, enabling former Confederates and other white supremacists to destroy the possibility of multiracial democracy for almost a century. “Our democracy suffers when an unelected group of lawyers take away our ability to govern ourselves,” as Harvard Law professor Nikolas Bowie wrote in 2021, based on his testimony before the do-nothing Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States.

That's why the new online lecture and discussion course, “What to Do About the Courts,” feels so important: It's an effort to begin laying the groundwork for fundamental court reform.

The Supreme Court lately has been upholding the United States Constitution because some want to trash the Constitution and insert in it's stead totalitarian law which would welch Americans of freedom. And because of that threat, patriots are leaving the socialist state push the deep state Dems want. That would mean America would have the majority of citizens into deep state slavery. So why blame the courts for upholding the Constitution?

:muahaha:

The court has never leaned left in it's entire history.

The article is very well written, in both it's content, and historical citation.

Anyone who believes the current make up of the court is fine, isn't an honest broker by ant measure.

Anyone who believes the court has any degree of popular support with the majority of the American people, or is representative of the leanings of the majority of he American people, isn't paying attention.

The court is in dire need of reform, and that reform will happen. It's a matter of when. not if.
Popular support doesn't mean jack shit when it comes to Constitutional law, dumbass.
