All we have to do is make Turkey stop allowing ISIS logistical support, arm and train the Kurds and then bomb ISIS back into the Stone Age.

Bush signed an obligatory agreement with Iraq a month before he left office that tied Obama's hands about staying, leaving, or negotiating with Iraq about when and how to stay or leave Iraq. Why didn't Bush simply tell the Iraqi's that he was leaving office and negotiations would have to be held with the new President when he took over control of the White House in a month?

Obama pulled Troops out of Iraq precisely on the withdrawal schedule that Bush and Maliki set at the end of 2008.

Iraqis would not extend immunity for US trooops to be there.

And there would not have been a need to withdraw troops by 2012 if Bush had not lied his way into sending them into Iraq in the first place.

There are only two basic options. Continue the method of defeating ISIS on the battlefield through attrition caused by airstrikes and limited assistance on the ground, training and equipping Iragi and Kurd forces, or deploying US combat units and forces.

Why didn't Bush simply tell the Iraqi's that he was leaving office and negotiations would have to be held with the new President when he took over control of the White House in a month?

Well Maliki punked Bush in 2007 by requesting the UN grant full sovereignty to Iraq by the end of 2008. So troops had to be gone by then unless an approved agreement by Iraq's Parliament was made.

Bush thought he was going to get permanent military bases and a long term deal until he ran out of time. Maliki led him on and punked him again.

That is why Bush surrendered as he did. US troops had to be out of IRAQ cities by June 2009 and Bush agreed to give the Iraqis control over what military options our military could do.

ISIS continued to infiltrate and infect Sunni cities like Mosul and Maliki had no interest from allowing the infestation to continue.

And US troops could do nothing about it. Bush gave Iraq control over US military operations.

Maliki was corrupt and destroyed his entire military with Shiite cronies.

That is what happened.
