President Trump Vetos Congress' Rebuke of Border Order

What say you?

  • His Border Emergency Order Should Stand. Most Americans don't like problems the open border caused.

  • His Border Emergency Order Should Not Stand.

  • Neither one. Explained Below

  • No opinion.

Results are only viewable after voting.
No he didn't, he said fuck off to the Democrats who are only making an issue of the border fence to try to prevent the President from keeping a promise he made to his supporters. In Senate bill S. 744, presented by Schumer to the Senate, billions of dollars were proposed to build a border fence and every Democrat is the Senate voted for it; Obama supported it and in her 2014 book, Hare Choices, Hillary said she wished that bill had passed the House. For all of this, the Democrats richly deserve to be told to fuck off. The President's actions are legal under the National Emergency Act and there has been no challenge to the Constitutionality of the Act, so all your whining about the Constitution is bullshit.

This is the first time the act has been used to override the will of congress and to spend money that is not his to spend. This act has never been used to spend money that was specifically denied by Congress. That is what makes this time different, and what I think will see it get shot down by SCOTUS

I do have a question for you though, if this is such an emergency, why did Trump not declare this two years ago? Why did Trump not push for this funding when he had control of both the House and the Senate?

Trump now becomes the first POTUS to use the power of the national emergency to override the will of Congress. The door this opens up will never be closed again if this stands. IF something that has been going on for more than 30 years constitutes an emergency, then there is nothing that does not.

How fucking cool is that...this dude pushes his sack around in a wheel barrow. He's willing to do whatever he's got to do to work for the right people. Fuck your status quo.
"IF something that has been going on for more than 30 years constitutes an emergency, then there is nothing that does not"
This all reminds of that guy whom doesn’t dare declare his heroin addiction an emergency until the moment he overdoses and almost dies...haha
Look, desperate wetback loving fools want to believe that since good, real Americans have looked the other way for decades and haven’t had the nuts to deal with the issue they’ve lost their right to finally decide this issue belongs at the top of priority list.
Pretty unAmerican philosophy huh?

Yes, he is willing to shit on the constitution to keep people like you happy.

Well, since "people like me" fund the country...it's all good.
The reality is; he's working within the scope of executive power but you Lefties can't see it that way.
This decision is simple for Trump...he either lets Congress fuck the American people over by continuing to allow wetbacks to flood in or he bully's Congress and goes to work for good, legit, REAL Americans. How would you like him to proceed? (this is a test)

It is not within the scope of the executive power to spend money in any way he damn well pleases. He is the president, not a king, not a dictator.

You are all happy about this power now, but when it is used by a different president for reasons you do not agree with, then you will be not so happy.

You know better Lefty....The Commander can spend whatever the fuck he wants to fundamentally secure this nation...that is his most paramount duty. You, if you're a good, legitimate, real American should support his effort, tenacity and commitment to protect you. Fucking weird that you don't.

No, he cannot not. once again, the president is not a king, he is not a dictator.

that you want to make him one so you can sleep better at night says all we need to know about you.

Congress always grumbles when the President declares a national emergency, but today's Democratic Party's fake opposition to the border fence has made idiots of all of you.

They do?

show me where congress grumbled about the levied sanctions against four criminal organizations—Los Zetas, the Brothers' Circle, the Yakuza, and the Camorra—including freezing assets, barring ownership of American real estate, and implementing travel bans.

or when they grumbled about the imposed economic sanctions on DRC government officials amidst widespread violence taking place during runoffs for Congo's first free election in decades.

or when they grumbled about Blocking Assets and Prohibiting Transactions with Significant Narcotics Traffickers declared in response to Colombian drug cartels using American
companies to launder money.

or when they grumbled about the imposed sanctions due to the Rohingya conflict in Myanmar, specifically against general Maung Maung Soe.

You're slipping Lefty...do your homework...he can spend straight from the defense fund on border security. Congress does not appropriate spending for defense by line item. Look it up.

Border security is not a military matter, according to the laws of this nation.

The military does not defend nor secure the border.

The military does not defend nor secure the border.

According to the laws of this nation it is the government's responsibility to secure the safety of American citizens. Trump did that today.

You are determined to be even more stupid than usual today, aren't you? Only a few of the 58 times a President has declared a nation emergency under this Act have been emergencies is the usual sense of the word, so every time the President declares an emergency he is ignoring the will of Congress since he could have taken the time to ask Congress to authorize his proposed action.

Your question is a typically stupid one. Because of the Democrats' fake opposition to the border fence, the President would have needed 60 votes to pass it through the Senate, so he never had control of both houses of Congress, moron.

The big mistake the President made was thinking he could negotiate with today's reckless and irresponsible Democratic Party. In his 2018 SOTU address he proposed the same things Schumer proposed in his 2013 bill, the border fence and the same immigration reforms Schumer proposed and that Obama supported and that Hillary supported and that every Democrat in the Senate supported, and he offered to give all the dreamers and 1,000,000 more illegals a path to citizenship and the Democrats who had been pretending to care about these people refused to negotiate.

Why did the Senate even vote on a bill they knew Trump would veto when they knew they didn't have to votes to override the veto? Were they bored and looking for something to waste taxpayer money on?

They wanted to put on paper which ones supported the Constitution and which ones supported the President.

could you repeat that in English please?

You don't understand English I guess. But look at it this way, the Democrats and Republican Rinos failed in the one thing they are charged with........to ensure the safety of American citizens. If you can't understand that go take some English courses.

That is not what they are charted with, they are charged with supporting and defending the Constitution. They voted to support it, and the POTUS veoted that vote.

They always grumble about the President bypassing Congress when, as is the case in nearly all declared emergencies, there is time to ask Congress for authorization regardless of the issue. Trump is ignoring the will of Congres, really of he Democrats in Congress, the same as every other president who has declared an emergency to avoid going to Congress. As I have pointed out to you the Democrats are not opposed to the border fence but are only opposed to the President keeping his promise to his supporters.

Are you really too stupid to be able to understand that under the law an emergency is anything the President says it is under the National Emergency Act?

Flanked by law enforcement officials as well as the parents of children killed by people in the country illegally, Trump maintained that he is not through fighting for his signature campaign promise, which stands largely unfulfilled 18 months before voters decide whether to grant him another term. Trump said: "It is a tremendous national emergency," adding, "our immigration system is stretched beyond the breaking point."
