I went through the list and all of the poorest states are conservative red.

Most of the richest states are blue.

My blue state is ranked 10th richest.

The OP is economically flawed.

What is not addressed is cost of living. CA may be a rich state, but housing is unaffordable to the majority of residents. In SF, a $100K income is considered "poverty" level.

I'd like to see an analysis like this adusted for After Tax Income as some of the higher income areas have incredibly high state and local taxes.

Democrats have controlled my blue states for decades.

We are ranked 10th richest state in the nation.

You do know that California is the wealthiest of all the states. You do know that it is the bluest of all the states. Did you know the California is now the state with the lowest per capita income in the entire Union?
