Pollsters dumbfounded by Trump

Polling experts agree on one thing when it comes to Donald Trump’s presidential run: They’ve never seen anything like it.

The billionaire businessman’s dominance of the Republican presidential race is forcing experienced political hands to question whether everything they know about winning the White House is wrong.

The shocks have come in quick succession, with Trump first rocketing to the top of national polls, and then taking double-digit leads in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

In another act of political magic, Trump managed to flip his favorability rating from negative to positive in one poll during the span of a month — a feat that Monmouth University’s Patrick Murray called “astounding.”

Trump’s favorability rose from 20 percent to 52 percent among Republican voters between July and August, Monmouth found.

But as the attacks on Trump have intensified, so has his level of support.

Polls released on Tuesday show Trump lapping the field in New Hampshire, where he leads his nearest Republican rival by 24 percentage points. The story is the same in South Carolina, where the latest poll gave him a 15-point edge.

How long will this go on? The more Trump is attacked, the higher he gets in the polls!

Looks like he's talking about what people have questions about. He's saying what those polled want to hear.

Will he still be here next year?? Unknown but its turning into one interesting run for the White House.

He is getting his message out. He has had 66 press conferences. Do we see the other candidates having that many or the turnout he has? People are listening to him because they are tired f the useless politicians we've had in the past.

The electorate is angry. We have seen the polls on Congress, they are still in the tank. Voters want something done about illegals, political correctness and a leader with leadership skills that won't back down to other countries. I can see Trump going all the way, but we'll have to see.

You don't see him saying "My fellow Republicans". Because he is talking to everybody. Look at the republican wonk statements...
" He's not conservative enough"....For who them? His polls are getting higher because he is NOT one of them.

Look at the way they handled media. Trump is brash and up front.
Bush is defensive and Hillary is almost every bad story out. The LAST thing American voters want is one of them.

Both parties have been lying to the people and the people are fed up. Both parties are out for themselves and the people are fed up. Both parties think their shit doesn't stink and the people are fed up.

Its not about Trump, its about the people, pollsters need to get a clue.

You are right, DF. The appeal of Trump is he's NOT one of the establishment morons who get everything ok'ed by committee.

He's talking to Independents, Moderate Democrats and Legal Immigrants. When he says he'll bring jobs back to the US, he's talking to the black unemployment problem. He's talking to the disenfranchised. He's talking to ALL of us!

"“I want to put the Republican leadership behind this mirror and let them see. They need to wake up. They don’t realize how the grassroots have abandoned them,” he added."

Not just good for the Dems, great for the Dems...

What Trump is is a lack of confidence vote in our elected officials. It is multi-party disdain. It is America you are hearing from, pollsters. It is the, "We the people are sick of you lying politicians", party.
What a shame then that what Trump is telling people, are lies...

May by in you're less than desired opinion.

But then who gives a shit about you're opinion??

As someone said, he is saying what people have been yelling at their TV sets for years.

Pfft...

10 months ago...in November of 2014...We The People sent 90+% of Congress BACK TO THEIR JOBS IN CONGRESS!!!!!!!!!!

Taking retirees and quitters out of the equation, 85-90% will go back in the winter of 2017; Guaranteed.

On this board alone, there are 13 threads about Trump. Pollsters have found the more Trump is attacked, the more popular he becomes. It gets people in the position of defending him when it's actually defending right from wrong. But the more they defend Trump, they are slowly "owning" the support of Trump and begin to gee actual voters for him.

Herman Cain was polling this high in 2011 around this time.

If you've forgotten who he is, try google.
