Planned Parenthood: False Allegations and the Clown Car

Like I said in another forum. We have obama care now. No need for planned parenthood, put that money some where else.

Are you a women? Do you know the full range of services provided by PP? Do you know the gaps which may exist in service to women?

You have a right to your opinion, but in expressing it, it is important to explain why if you hope to be credible.
A women? You mean a woman? A woman has obama care now, she can find a doctor that actually cares for her. Instead of wanting her to have an abortion so they can sell it's organs and limbs.

when did they start doing abortions for free

last i heard they get up to 800 bucks a shot or more

Wrong, the american taxpayers are paying those fees by congression funding of PP. The poor welfare mothers are not being charged.

i certainly am not wrong

regardless of who is paying for them pp already gets a lot of money before

they sell off the baby body parts and organs

The BIG LIE is a lie told over and over until it becomes putative in the set famously called out by President Lincoln: "..."You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time..." Those who believe the meme echo it, and on it goes.

other than passing out condoms at junior high schools, what good does it do?

Actually, Sandra Fluke wasn't in Junior High and she could have gotten free birth control at a variety of Planned Parenthood locations within a few miles of Georgetown

Why is it the government's role to provide free birth control to anyone? What's next, mandatory sterilization of those deemed unworthy by the government? Wasn't that tried once in a european country named Germany?

If you cared at all about eliminating abortion, you should be endorsing any program that helps to mitigate unintended pregnancy.

Education is the best program for preventing unintended pregnancy. Teaching morality and personal responisbility is much better for society that passing out condoms and telling kids "go to it, just put the rubber on first".

Both should be done but of course it's Repubs all around the nation pulling funding for both sex ed and contraception. Your ideal of inspiring morality as a cure to pregnancy is never going to overcome human nature. You are a perfect example of the coveluded con thinking on this subject.

Cures for unwanted premarital pregnancy

1. put on the condom
2. keep your legs together
3. take the BC pill
4. don't screw until you are married
5. turn gay

Planned Parenthood does far more good than bad, but there is no way Federal money should be given to them or any other charity. People should decide where their own money goes

They aren't a "charity", they are a health care services provider.

The Federal government subsidizing charities would be the "Faith Based Initiatives" that Bush II put in place.

yep, it has always been one of my favorite activities. But I never created an unwanted pregnancy or participated in killing an unborn child.

Puplic health is a public concern. That's why they get public funds.

Then we should defund HHS. I thought public health was the job of that agency.

It's HHS that gives grants to PP. HHS doesn't have clinical infrastructure. They give grants to agencies that provide public health services.

The only thing you actually discounted was the statement some doctor made about this may violate federal law. It doesn't but it is still pretty gruesome considering some of this "tissue" may actually resemble human body parts.

Yes, thats all true. However we cannot ignore the FACT that PP exists to provide abortions. Their only product is fetal tissue. they are a fetal tissue farm. Legality and morality do cross paths.

No. PP exists to provide reproductive and health services. Only 3% of their services are abortion related. You can't stop misrepresenting what they do lest your argument crumble.

You certainly are wrong, and this is indeed the lie, as your post is comprehensively incorrect.

An embryo/fetus is not a 'baby.'

The tissue samples are neither 'sold' nor is there a 'profit,' where a reimbursement is appropriate to cover the inherent costs of providing researchers the tissue samples.

Planned Parenthood violated no laws, it's practices are perfectly legal and ethical.

Good idea. I think sterilization should be free as well. Anyone male or female in a public program ie, prison, Medicaid, military, welfare or disability should get it absolutely free if so desired.

I'm glad that you condemn ALL murders-----------------------EXCEPT those of helpless unborn human beings.

An embryo or a fetus isn't a human being, no matter what your bronze age book of fairy tales says.

Hypocrisy is the watch word of liberalism.

I'm not a liberal but a socialist

Actually, the bronze age book of allegories and legends {bible} doesn't condemn abortion at all. The bible doesn't consider the fetus a life. So if you hit a woman and she miscarries but lives, the guy pays a fine to the husband. Only if the wife dies is there the "life for a life", bullshit.

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life. --Exodus 21:22-23

God apparently aborts the babies of cheating women...

The priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell. And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen. ...
And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed
. -- Numbers 5:21-21, 27-28

That's some fucked up shit ain't it?
