3. Far stricter limits on lobbyist spending, all the way down to zero if needed
4. Balanced Budget Amendment
This combination of requirements would immediately change the landscape of private political spending.

Term limits take away the voter's power. Also, I want experienced people making policy decisions and to mentor new members. Term limits have hurt California.

A balanced budget amendment would never work. Congress would just declare things outside the budgetary process or exclude military spending. We need accounting reform, not budget reform.
If I ran the world all but individual donations of no more than oh $500 to $1000 per candidate. No PACs, no committees, no special interest groups, only individuals.
There would be no political ads allowed on television. Candidates would each get a set number of time on public airwaves to plead their case.
Lobbyists would be banned from giving any money to anyone for anything. They lobby with the strength of their voting supporters, that's it.
I'd make Primaries happen on a rotating regional basis so nobody always gets to be first all the time and everybody else fights for the rest.
Redistricting would be removed as a function of the legislature.
Single term limits is the only way to start to drain the swamp, only fucking morons want the career politicians in there forever so shut the fuck up

If people are offered an affordable education, affordable healthcare, affordable housing it would make things just a little easier for them to determine their own outcomes.
Changes like free community college or trade schools will make opportunity at least visible. Universal healthcare like every other industrialized nation would make opportunity just a little easier to obtain. Affordable housing would bring dignity to families making opportunity just a little easier to realize.
Some folks call those solutions Socialism and shut down further debate. Some say those changes cost too much, yet when massive tax breaks for the wealthiest among us are proffered, we seem to be able to carve out the federal budget to make that happen.
Everyone pays taxes. I have no children, yet I am taxed to pay for schools. My home is on a secure area of town. The cops spend most of their time patrolling the poorer neighborhoods. Yet I pay taxes supporting the police. Are my taxes being unjustly confiscated to pay for services I do not use? Schools ensure the future and I, for one, have no problem supporting the future, as those who came before me supported my future.
Is it reasonable that a nation which touts being among the wealthiest, most secure and most free cannot afford to make life just a little easier for the vast majority of its citizens? In a time where wages are stagnant, the richest are getting richer by making nothing but more money on the money they already have, why should people worry about securing medical care, education and decent safe and affordable housing?

There’s a flaw in that methodology...like Liberals / Lefties children don’t have a firm grasp of the economic side of things...they translate the emotional feel good “stuff’ quite easily which works in the DNC’s favor. Most of my son's classmates were opposed to a mandatory state rise in the minimum wage when they discussed it at fourteen. They all knew it would mean they would have a harder time competing for jobs, and there would be less jobs to compete for against grown adults.
It's simple supply and demand of jobs. You force employers to raise the wages, there will be less jobs. Kids aren't really as dumb as you might think.
