Supposedly the dogs had been "incessantly barking" for 10 years. The jury awarded the couple over $200,000, as well. It sounds as though the dog owners simply ignored calls to keep their dogs quiet.

There aren't enough details, but if this was a last resort before killing the dogs, perhaps it isn't as bad as it sounds. There just isn't enough information.
