The entire point of cruel and unusual punishment is that our judiciary not sink to the level of the offenders, if our judiciarys loses the moral high ground over the criminals it prosecutes then the system is corrupt.
Yes I understand that what was inflicted on the children was inhumane, cruel, unusual, ect, make it punishable by death for all I care, I simply see physical castration as outside the governments authority to inflict.
On the other hand fine, castrate them throw cruel and unusual out the window, why dont we chop thieves hands off, or stone adulterers, burn witches, and revitalize pressing too.
