Paul Ryan Fakes Washing Dishes at Ohio Soup Kitchen (they were already clean)

If this is the worst they can dig up to discourage support of Romney then it's in the bag.

It's in the bag anyway, but still, it's funny.

The worst we can do? Hardly. It's another of the thousand cuts that have Romney trailing in most polls. If you had a real candidate, you'd be ahead by 10 points by now.

So last week we were supposed to be outraged about Big Bird.

This week we are supposed to be outraged about pots and pans.

What are we supposed to be outraged about next week, the tire pressure in Ann Romney's car?

Well, you know, according to the President, if she properly inflates her tires, she can save billions of gallons of gasoline every year.

You need to start looking at reality, assfuck...

Team Zero is getting further and further behind in most polls...

Idiot...

Who gives a shit if you're outraged. Most normal people will see the Ryan fakery and go WTF? It's just another indicator what a phony he is. Why the fuck would he clean a clean pot to pretend he cares about poverty? The Catholic Bishops have already shown how little he cares about the needy. This just reinforces it in a human way.

If every American took a little time to properly inflate their tires, we would save quite a bit of energy. But you're too big of a scumbag to care about the cost to our future by recklessly wasting fossil fuel and generating greenhouse gases.

Romney is still chasing, ass suck. You're the one who needs a reality check, simpleton.

Why does Oddball care what the GObP candidates are up to anyway? I thought he was a libertarian ;)

Oddball a.k.a. DUDe? Far right wing, nothing more, nothing less.
Hugo Chavez is a reactionary to you, Jethro. :lmao:

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.”
Douglas Adams

Why I am Not a Conservative by F. A. Hayek - (and why Oddball a.k.a. DUDe is far right wing, nothing more, nothing less)

In general, it can probably be said that the conservative does not object to coercion or arbitrary power so long as it is used for what he regards as the right purposes. He believes that if government is in the hands of decent men, it ought not to be too much restricted by rigid rules. Since he is essentially opportunist and lacks principles, his main hope must be that the wise and the good will rule - not merely by example, as we all must wish, but by authority given to them and enforced by them.

When I say that the conservative lacks principles, I do not mean to suggest that he lacks moral conviction. The typical conservative is indeed usually a man of very strong moral convictions. What I mean is that he has no political principles which enable him to work with people whose moral values differ from his own for a political order in which both can obey their convictions. It is the recognition of such principles that permits the coexistence of different sets of values that makes it possible to build a peaceful society with a minimum of force. The acceptance of such principles means that we agree to tolerate much that we dislike.

To live and work successfully with others requires more than faithfulness to one's concrete aims. It requires an intellectual commitment to a type of order in which, even on issues which to one are fundamental, others are allowed to pursue different ends.

It is for this reason that to the liberal neither moral nor religious ideals are proper objects of coercion, while both conservatives and socialists recognize no such limits.

In the last resort, the conservative position rests on the belief that in any society there are recognizably superior persons whose inherited standards and values and position ought to be protected and who should have a greater influence on public affairs than others. The liberal, of course, does not deny that there are some superior people - he is not an egalitarian - but he denies that anyone has authority to decide who these superior people are. While the conservative inclines to defend a particular established hierarchy and wishes authority to protect the status of those whom he values, the liberal feels that no respect for established values can justify the resort to privilege or monopoly or any other coercive power of the state in order to shelter such people against the forces of economic change. Though he is fully aware of the important role that cultural and intellectual elites have played in the evolution of civilization, he also believes that these elites have to prove themselves by their capacity to maintain their position under the same rules that apply to all others.

Closely connected with this is the usual attitude of the conservative to democracy. I have made it clear earlier that I do not regard majority rule as an end but merely as a means, or perhaps even as the least evil of those forms of government from which we have to choose. But I believe that the conservatives deceive themselves when they blame the evils of our time on democracy. The chief evil is unlimited government, and nobody is qualified to wield unlimited power. The powers which modern democracy possesses would be even more intolerable in the hands of some small elite.

You STILL lying? :talktothehand: You posting a link to a link too? :eusa_doh: IOW- an opinion. Here's the source Dickless :eusa_boohoo:

PolitiFact | Not overinflated (though it sounds like it)
The best estimate available, by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is that at least a quarter of drivers are cruising around on under-inflated tires. In April, the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Auto Club, the California Highway Patrol and Yokohama Tire Company used those statistics, along with Department of Transportation and Automobile Association of America data, to extrapolate that 2.8-billion gallons of gas are lost every year due to under-inflation of tires.

Don't you even read the articles you quote, little boy?

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, "every pound per square inch of tire underinflation wastes 4 million gallons of gas daily in the U.S." Survey information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that 27% of the cars on the road have a significantly under-inflated tire.

Wrong child. I read the link. Clearly you didn't. But you're a fucking moron. If you had read the link, you'd see that Obama was correct. If everyone would properly inflate their tires, we would save 4 million gallons of gas a day.

Damn, you're an idiot.

How out of touch is Barack Obama? He's so out of touch that he suggested that if all Americans inflated their tires properly and took their cars for regular tune-ups, they could save as much oil as new offshore drilling would produce. Gleeful Republicans have made this their daily talking point; Rush Limbaugh is having a field day; and the Republican National Committee is sending tire gauges labeled "Barack Obama's Energy Plan" to Washington reporters.

But who's really out of touch? The Bush Administration estimates that expanded offshore drilling could increase oil production by 200,000 bbl. per day by 2030. We use about 20 million bbl. per day, so that would meet about 1% of our demand two decades from now. Meanwhile, efficiency experts say that keeping tires inflated can improve gas mileage 3%, and regular maintenance can add another 4%. Many drivers already follow their advice, but if everyone did, we could immediately reduce demand several percentage points. In other words: Obama is right.

Cutting straight through the bullshit.

Paul Ryan's Compassionate Conservatism | Crooks and Liars

Let me get this straight: Ryan wants a photo op to help catapult over the conventional wisdom that he and his running mate do note care about 47 percent of the Americans, so he goes to a soup kitchen, but only after all those pesky poor people are no longer there? Nice. And then he deigns to speak to the few "homeless-appearing" (whatever that means) individuals still in the facility, but he doesn't want the press to hear what they're talking about. Maybe he's afraid they'll bring up his proposed cuts to Medicaid. Or cuts to funding to keep homeless vets off the street. Or any of the social safety net programs for the needy, lest he creates a "culture of dependency", 'cause boy, that would be awkward. Still, you can't let a good photo op go to waste, can you?
