The model also predicts that Obama will win the presidency with 281 electoral votes to Romney's 257. Based on these results, there is a 84.11% probability that Barack Obama will win the election.

I must ask why you put so much emphasis on where one of the professors teaches? One teaches at Utah Valley University and the other at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. They are doing predictions based on what they read and their own opinions. Why does this seem to matter that one guy teaches at a university in Utah?

The model is based on state, national and historical voting patterns.
