Pain lingers for lesbian couple denied in Sweet Cakes case

What gays and lesbians want isn't tolerance or even acceptance. They want to be liked. If they can force a vendor into servitude, they can at least pretend that the vendor has kindly thoughts about them. Getting the service isn't nearly as important as having the servant appreciate giving the service. If the degenerates are made fully aware that the service is given grudgingly or resentfully there must be some other reason, like a proud Christian woman is beaten.

I'm sure Mrs. Klein gets beaten a lot. She might even enjoy it....

Gawd you're freaking stupid. This is why nobody takes your old decrepit ass serious
Now that just totally proves me wrong.

SHOW ME AN EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE GOING TO PRISON FOR LIFE FOR SWIPING A SLICE OF FUCKING PIZZA.

Stealing one slice of pizza results in life sentence

A man who stole a piece of pizza last summer has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, sparking renewed debate over the state's tough "three strikes" sentencing law.

Jerry Dewayne Williams, 27, of Los Angeles was convicted of felony petty theft in January for taking a slice of pepperoni pizza from a group of children, ages 7 to 14, eating at Adam's Pizza on the Redondo Beach pier on July 30.

and again, I am a lapsed catholic at best, so your religious bigotry doesn't work on me, bitch tits.

your the one who wants to make policy based on bronze age superstitions...

Ah, three strikes laws. and it was felony theft because children were involved, he just didn't grab a slice from the counter, so it wasn't just "stealing pizza". The punishment is for being a 5 time loser, not just for the pizza slice. He's also eligible for parole in 20 years.

The funny thing is you would probably support a 3 strike law for someone like the Kleins.
Jerry Dewayne Williams got a judge to feel sorry for him long ago. His life of petty crime goes on.

What JoeB doesn't get is that Jerry wasn't sentenced to 25 year/life for stealing a piece of pizza. Jerry was sentenced to that time because he's proven he can't quit committing crimes after having been given multiple chances to do so.

He was convicted of strong arm robbery and had a bunch of priors. He robbed a child by force. In what world is this acceptable?

And Joe had to go back to 1995 just to find this one poor "example", and the guy got out after 5 years, and as of 2010 is on the straight and narrow because he knows one more fuck up and he's in there for good.

'Pizza thief' walks the line

Now living in Moreno Valley, Williams remains bitter about the case that brought him notoriety. But he acknowledges his role in the ongoing debate over the sentencing law.

"If I go back to jail, it proves three strikes is right -- that this is where I belong," Williams said. "So I have to stay out."

He's furious too. How dare he have to obey the law.

The fact that he'll go BACK to jail proves that he's already had two other chances to make the choice to no longer be a criminal.

I have a solution for Jerry and it will keep him out of jail. Quit committing crimes.

JoeB's mindset if that of the typical Liberal where you go from A to Z without taking into account B through Y. Either Joe doesn't understand that this isn't the first time Jerry Dewayne Williams committed a crime or he simply doesn't care. Maybe JoeB thinks at 27 Jerry isn't old enough to be tried as an adult. It's not but one year removed from when Jerry could have still been on his parents insurance.

I think we need a nice re-education camp for the Kliens... One where they get to watch gay porn and atheist videos all day..

But to the point, you are prefectly fine with draconian punishments when it's people you don't like... you know, like people of color.

I guess I have more sympathy for a guy who stole some food because he was hungry than I would someone who abused people to please an imaginary sky fairy...

I'd have no problem punishing him. Sending him to prison for life for a $2.00 slice of pizza is a bit much.

And Joe had to go back to 1995 just to find this one poor "example", and the guy got out after 5 years, and as of 2010 is on the straight and narrow because he knows one more fuck up and he's in there for good.

So you are fine with someone being disproportinately punished for a petty offense if you don't like them.

Taibbi: The Shame of Three Strikes Laws

Have you heard the one about the guy who got life for stealing a slice of pizza? Or the guy who went away forever for lifting a pair of baby shoes? Or the one who got 50 to life for helping himself to five children's videotapes from Kmart? How about the guy who got life for possessing 0.14 grams of meth? That last offender was a criminal mastermind by Three Strikes standards, as many others have been sentenced to life for holding even smaller amounts of drugs, including one poor sap who got the max for 0.09 grams of black-tar heroin.

So you guys are cool with punishing people for minor offenses. Awesome. Make an example out of them.

Same thing with the Kliens... The next Christian Bigot will think twice before trying something like that.

He wasn't hungry. He stole the pizza because he could grab a child and take whatever you want because you can rob a child and it looked good for his homies.

What is driving you crazy is, even if the Kleins watched gay porn and atheist videos all day, the pervs would still have lost everything, still get hundreds of threats a day and still have to live in hiding.

Was that his actual motive? Or are you "making stuff up"?

Except none of those things are actually true. They have to "put up with annoying trolls on the internet" oh, the horror.

The next Christian avoiding gay oppression will have to find other ways covert ways, to fight back. Going very public with the story of involuntary servitude., including the names and addresses of the pervert tormentors would have the same effect and none of the legal wrangling.

Hey, if you want to pay six figurs for harrassment... knock yourself out.

No one is paying six figures for harrassment now and the lesbo is cleaning houses instead of singing and running a children's museum.

They thought like you. Humiliate the Kleins. Close their business. Take a bunch of money and walk away happy. Except what happened? It is now almost four years post cake and the perv couple cannot move out from under. The Kleins breathe new life into their misery every day. They won't let it be forgotten or go into the past. They are stumping church to church, cupcakes all the way.

The guy was a multiple time loser. He also was hungry because he was drunk and out with his work buddies at a bar, not starving as you so limply tried to imply.

And again, fuck you you fascist fuck, for your starting statement. Bold words from a man on a message board.

They went away for committing more crimes after already being punished multiple times for previous crimes. And this only involves felonies, so serious crimes, even if the "last straw" is a relatively minor felony.

And draconian drug punishments are something i fund stupid as well, but only for 1st time offenders. by their 2nd or third, maybe life in jail is the best thing for these people.

And all of the "three strike" things involve actual crime, with actual harm. so your thoughtcrime prosecution logic falls flat, as usual.
