The United States has once again reaffirmed its position with regard to the Syrian conflict. In a statement following his talks on Friday in Moscow over how to end the Syrian crisis, US Special Envoy for Syria Michael Ratney said, “The US remains strongly committed to achieving a genuine, negotiated political transition away from Bashar Assad that brings an end to the violence... Assad’s continued tenure fuels extremism and inflames tensions in the region. That is why a political transition is not only necessary for the good of the people of Syria, but an important part of the fight to defeat the extremists.”
For many players in the Middle East, the American position is crucial for their calculations. The Syrian rebels in particular are most likely to feel upbeat once the US translate these words into actions on the ground. But, it is not as if the US is going to have a free ride. Any American move that could be a game changer should take into account Russia’s evolving position.

The reason we have ISIS was that our foolish western leaders were hell bent for leather to depose Assad at any cost to hand Syria over to the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood.

The bloody fools weren't content with screwing up Egypt (thank heavens the Egyptian people came to their senses and overthrew the MB).

No, not content at all. They had to take out Ghaddafi. How's that Libyan Arab Spring working out? Have you seen the pictures of the terrorist pool parties at the US Embassy in Tripoli?

I'm not even going to go near the screw ups of the western backing the nazis in Kiev. Everywhere they have attempted to overthrow a leader, it has caused chaos and instability and of course created a vacuum for terrorists to take hold.

Western leaders should be working with Assad to rid Syria of ISIS considering they bloody well allowed ISIS to become the powerful monsters that they are.

And after that the western leaders should mind their own freaking business.

From the last lines of the article that appeared in the SA newspaper.

"I believe that the Americans should work closely with Saudi Arabia and Turkey and change the balance of power on the ground in a marked manner."

They have been. For years on end now. This allowed the rise of ISIS.

C.I.A. Said to Aid in Steering Arms to Syrian Opposition

From the New York Times article:

The weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the officials said.

So the Little Shit is finally rested up after his electroshock treatments. While resting up, he has plenty of time to think about his idol Assad. Naturally he never thinks of all the innocent people who are dead now or those who are risking their lives to flee to safety because of his idol.

I wonder what would have happened if his bestest friend in the whole wide world would have sat down with other leaders such as King Mohammed and King Abdullah and had asked them if he should negotiate with the opposition in the first place instead of having the police mow down the protestors in the streets. If he had done that, perhaps there wouldn't have been such chaos and ISIS wouldn't have then said that Syria was the stepping stone for the worldwide Caliphate.

A number of Israeli generals and political commentators have called on the Netanyahu government to provide military aid to Bashar Al-Assad's regime in Syria in order to prevent its downfall. It is an unprecedented campaign to "Save the Assad regime".

According to General Azer Tsfrir, for example, allowing the Assad regime to fall would mean turning Syria into a "black hole" in which the border areas could become launch pads for operations against Israel. Writing in Haaretz, the former military intelligence officer suggested that the fall of Assad would subject Syria to the hegemony of extremist Muslim groups which have declared their desire to destroy the Zionist state. They would, he claimed, become a first degree strategic threat. Israelis call for arms for Assad to save regime
