But yes. Obama has never liked American exceptionalism. And he intends to stop it.

Depends on what you mean by "exceptionalism".

Liberals tend to take it to mean:

- We are "exceptional" because we are a nation of immigrants, where an immigrant can arrive, and become a real American. One that can become fully vested into the system and become as successful as that persons drive, imagination and determination allows that person to be.

-We are "exceptional" because we are a nation of laws. That for the most part, corruption isn't tolerated and we can expect our system of justice to be fair, balanced and objective.

-We are "exceptional" because we are a nation of individual freedom and liberty. And that we are able to question our government when we percieve injustice. And our press acts as a watchdog to power.

Conservatives tend to take it to mean:

-We are "exceptional" because we have the most powerful military in the world. What we say..goes.

-We are "exceptional" because we can do things that we would condemn other countries for doing. Like invading and conquering another nation.

-We are "exceptional" because we have the richest people in the world. And the private sector thrives on unbridled greed and corruption.

Those are the differences.

Funny thing it's not liberals smashing unions, calling the wages of Average Americans "to high", hiring in other countries, encouraging hiring in other countries through pretty terrible economic polices like Bush's tax holidays, changing overtime rules that allow companies not to pay overtime, cutting taxes on the wealthy (which takes money OUT of the economy and puts into their overseas bank accounts), privatizing ports, prisons and the military, gutting regulations meant to keep corruption to a minimum, our air clean and our food and products safe.

Things like how has the affordable care act increased the deficit...what happened when he signed an EO closing Gitmo, what federal funds are used to pay for abortions...etc. You know, actually back up your ODS bullshit.
