Okay, so - your vote. Best voice, ever.

Joni Mitchell

Court and Spark

Can anyone get a you tube up from Help me I think I'm falling? This old box is running at 28 now and I can't pull up anything.

I assume she must have a video out there.

Joni's voice is like a fine wine. That's the only way I can describe it.

Did I say Jesse Colin Young already? Please pardon me. I'm running around canning and freezing and getting winter ready.

Darkness Darkness is to die for.

Oh really? Get freaking back to me when you're on a budget from Harvey Glatt and Trebble Clef Records and your bands name that you are trying to promote is Joe Hall and the Continental Drift and the supposed hit and yes I did make it a hit was VAMPIRE BEAVERS.

okey dokey this one was a tough one. but I did it and it was I think the most fun tour ever.

These guys were awesome.

But Regina has the best hawaiain sp? pizzas ever. I'm trying to remember the name of the place.

Yorkton had a killer bar too.

I say the Prairies ROCK. Think Streetheart.

OMG, chills.

Apparently, I need to rent a movie.

When Freddy sang it, I swear I don't want to get over emotional here, but it really was like he took me to a diiferent place.

I think it was his finest. And I'm so grateful that I heard it.

Hey, just missed your one-year. Happy USMB anniversary!

He brings me to my knees every time. When I hear him sing this there are no words. It's Freddy. And damn I love him.

Damn, I remember the Boston Pizza, an old place. Close to one of the taxi stations if I remember correctly. That's a long time ago.

^The Powder Blues come more to my Saskatoon/Regina timeframe.

Then came the winter. Then came hard. Sometimes really hard. So yes, Regina can be hard.

Drinking down in the Empire Hotel is the wrong side of town for sure.

Anybody bring up Bryan Ferry yet?

Live he was a killer. I always loved him in his tuxedo rocking away with that kick ass band behind him.
Avalon was to die for.

not a joni story, but I have a friend who worked for a music law firm that reprsented judy collins (he's actually the guy who got me into entertainment litigation). she came to the office one day with a guitar and played for him in the conference room. he said it was his best day at work ever.

That would be awesome. I never worked with her, but saw her a few times.

I have a lot of fun playing the Canadian card. (ETA: Please no one take offense to that. I have to remember that Canada also gave the world Ann Murray) I'm now living in the land of greatness that spawned The Guess Who and BTO.

This a fun thread and thanks for putting it up. Makes one think of how many really talented people can touch ones soul.

Did anyone bring up Ann or Nancy Wilson yet?
