So, under Obama, the government workforce basically stayed the same? Where are all the expanded government jobs at?

This is what the article stated:
It is an article of Republican faith since the New Deal that Democrats have expanded the federal workforce, but statistics do not bear this out, at least in recent years. According to this chart from the Office of Personnel Management, federal civilian employment was 2.094 million in 2009, President Barack Obama’s first year in office, and 2.079 million in 2014, the most recent year reported. Excluding the Department of Defense, the workforce remained almost exactly steady at 1.357 million.

What the hell are we talking about? There's no question that the number of civilian/executive workers is roughly the same as when Obama got elected.

Can jobs be cut through a hiring freeze without drastically affecting the country ... probably, for a while anyway.

But the effect on the overall spending is negligible. IF Trump is serious about deficits, he needs to lessen the rise in entitlement spending. And he suggests doing that with block granting Medicaid, but repealing Obamacare will actually increase the deficiti. And, he said he wouldn't touch soc sec or medicare.

Of course they're lying.

The press are nothing but the propaganda arm of the left. And they are FREAKING OUT because the left isn't calling the shots anymore. They are going to lie, fabricate, they will prostitute themselves, commit arson..they will do ANYTHING to maintain their positions of imagined power.

Guess what? The feds have been hiring like fucking CRAZY over the past few years. And so have many of the states...and the states pay for it with federal funds through various and assorted programs.

All that is ending.

I suspect the Dept. of the Interior is going to be all but eliminated.

Food stamps are going away.

We are going to be able to use our own fucking land the way we fucking want to again.

And the criminal *press corps* is out the door.
