All 3 work together as equal branches, the congress is our direct representation.... we have representatives that we choose, via direct vote. That's why we elected Trump!!!! It's called Separation of Powers. The President of the U.S. is a check against a runaway Legislative Branch. This is not a high crime and misdemeaner. Unless you want to rescind the Constitution. Which Democrats are trying to do.
the constitution gives the president the 'power of the Veto' as his only check on the legislative Branch.... congress.
the legislative branch of our government, congress.... is who represents ''we the people'', all of our power to rule ourselves is vested in the house of representatives... NOT the president, not the senate....
when you argue to make the president and executive branch stronger, and to weaken the House, you are taking your own power and representation and right to govern ourselves, AWAY FROM US.
PLEASE reconsider your hurtful and harmful to us American citizen's right, to govern ourselves.
The framers rejected the parliamentary system where the president is just a figurehead.
The US co-equal system requires the judiciary to break ties when the President and Congress disagree.
All three branches form the government "of the people".
You seem to imply that the House is the "primary" governing body, which I strongly disagree with.
And no, the supreme court is there simply to determine what is or is not, constitutional..... not to decide partisan fights, is my understanding?
The USSC just took the Trump v House subpoena for tax records.
That proves that Trump does have due process rights, and that going to court is NOT "Obstruction of the House"
Supreme Court ruling pulls rug out from under article of impeachment
"That second article of impeachment charges President Trump with obstruction of Congress for refusing to comply with the congressional subpoenas in the absence of a final court order. In so charging him, the House Judiciary Committee has arrogated to itself the power to decide the validity of subpoenas, and the power to determine whether claims of executive privilege must be recognized, both authorities that properly belong with the judicial branch of our government, not the legislative branch."
