Cons support Willard's right to avoid taxes by investing offshore, even though they can't do it themselves ... go figure.

No one is stopping you from investing offshore. It's perfectly legal. However, you can't avoid any taxes that way. Your offshore investments get taxed at the same rate as the onshore variety.
