Obama's earmark for his wife

Another Wow thread debunked....

"Senator Barack Obama on Thursday released a list of $740 million in earmarked spending requests....The list included $1 million for a hospital where Mr. Obama’s wife works, money for several projects linked to campaign donors and support for more than 200 towns, civic institutions and universities in Illinois.

But as the Senate debated a bill to restrict the controversial method of paying for home-state projects — a measure defeated Thursday evening — Mr. Obama’s presidential campaign also said that only about $220 million worth of his requests had been approved by Congress. And among those that had been killed were his request in 2006 for $1 million for an expansion of the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Mr. Obama’s wife, Michelle, is a vice president.

Mr. Obama’s aides and officials at the hospital said Mr. Obama’s wife had had nothing to do with the request. Campaign officials said he had voluntarily released the list of his earmark requests to underscore his promise to bring greater openness and transparency to government...The release comes as both Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton, his rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, have joined the presumptive Republican nominee, Senator John McCain of Arizona, in supporting a proposal to ban spending earmarked for home-state projects for one year."

What was debunked?
I never said his wife received this money. Obama requested $1,000,000. for his wife's hospital.

The premise of the post is to point out Obama stands for NO change.

Obama is the candidate for change, right
?

Actually you're confused, that NO change thread is here http://www.usmessageboard.com/the-flame-zone/55607-obamas-no-change.html. The premise of this thread WAS to slam Obama because you stated he got money for his wife's hospital. You stated that he got her employer the money and that she received a raise. As I pointed out, that was untrue. Now you're trying to say that the premise of your post was actually something else just so you could try to save face.

Michelle Obama's salary at this hospital was increased 265%, after Barry was elected Senator. The $1 Million earmark covers her salary increase for a decade.
I see this as giving money to himself or his own family. This is stealing from the American people!

She gets her salary doubled because her husband got $1 million for her employer.

You are a tool with poor reading comprehension skills and when called out on your poorly researched posts, you easily change positions. HAHAHAHAHA!!! I am  @ you again, lightweight.

I wonder what the subside to earmark spending ratio is... yet I hear not a peep from you about elimination of subsides for oil and farm production...

Lmao...alot of the subsidies for oil and farming comes from earmarks genius....
