Obamacare premiums stabilizing

The issue was not the number of people that have insurance,

Bullshit - it certainly was a major issue, you just say that because you don't want to admit ACA worked in some ways.

Oh the far left drones do not understand in which they post, just far left religious dogma.

You do not want to admit that your GOD Obama's plan is a big huge failure that was corporate welfare for the insurance industry and big pharma.

Nonsense - greatly reduced uninsured rates is a definite upside of ACA, that is one of those things we refer to as FACT.

No doubt, you must get the free Obamacare, thus do not know squat.

Left my job and went into the exchange. Got sick and needed an inhaler that cost $35.00 on my insurance. Same stuff on black Jesus care cost $195.00 . Actual price of medicine is $475.00. Wow, I really saved a bundle.

Good. I hope premiums shoot through the fucking roof. I hope I see people dying on the street. It would warm my heart.

And you know why?

The dumbass BOOMERS and old Trump voters are the ones who will pay the most dearly.

I think it's hilarious that their lord and savior is shitting in their mouths and calling it ice cream.

then along comes the Breaker-In-Chief ..

Obamacare premiums were stabilizing. Then Trump happened.

trash peoples health insurance then blame it on Obama.

Wow, got to give you credit for posting the most ignorant comment for the week.

Your comment as well as the comments of every Trump supporter tie for the most ignorant comment ever. Millions more have insurance who did not have it before. That is a fact.

The issue was not the number of people that have insurance, it was the cost of insurance. Now if your lazy ass got a job, maybe the cost would go down by a tenth of a penny. Do at least try to keep up with the conversation.

The issue is also the number of people getting insurance. That was 1 of the goals of Obamacare. It has succeeded. Now the goals should be to fix the problems that Obamacare has. That is what a strong majority support. You people want to appeal to the 30%. There is no way to build a winning coalition with 30%.

You write lies I see. Your little mind can't stand the truth.
I challenge positions based on facts, something you have no idea of. hence your children's fairy tales.

you do not. You have no facts except what you want to be facts. You write fairy tales better known as lies. Liars for trump.
then explain how a party broke something you admit was already broken? D'OH!

The fact is that it accomplished part of its goal. Millions more had insurance than did before. The premiums had stabilized. Insurance companies are raising their rates double digits because of the uncertainty of CSRs. If not, the increases would have been single digits.

The voters agree that Obamacare needs to be fixed not replaced. The increased premiums coming thanks to Trump and the Republicans may break some people and Republicans will rightfully get the blame.
again, mostly all made up. again, what party has been winning at the polls and what did those candidates run on? oh yeah, Repeal obummerfail. REPEAL. your post is in error jack simply put. you're lying.

You are the liar. It doesn't matter what they ran on, voters wanted divided government. In 2016, Democrats picked up 2 Senate seats and 6 House seats. Trump was elected because he was not Clinton.

They were? That's not what my provider has been telling me. But then i think you live on a different planet than I.

"An analysis of health insurance costs conducted by eHealth finds that projected rate increases for 2018 health insurance plans would make coverage unaffordable for many, according to the rules of the Affordable Care Act (the ACA or Obamacare). eHealth’s analysis shows that projected costs for 2018 health insurance plans would be officially unaffordable for 29% of individuals and 54% of families who bought their health insurance at eHealth during the 2017 open enrollment period."

Obamacare Premiums Will Be Officially Unaffordable for Many in 2018 - eHealth Insurance Resource Center

The Republicans will be responsible for that. The CBO says that Trump's ending CSRs will cause premiums to rise 20% next year and 25% the next year.

The massive increases were programmed in from the very beginning. Best check your facts again.

GOP owns this now? Appears the Democrats are praying for this to be believed by voters. They haven't stood up for Obamacare since the election, instead choosing to just stymie the Presidents objectives, but never coming out to defend Obamacare, only to help "improve it".

Have your cake and eat it too. Don't admit it's a failure, but "tweak" the existing Obamacare and pretend you've come to the rescue, and of course if it doesn't work (as it most likely won't), you can blame the GOP.

The GOP have their failings in not repealing and replacing, but Obamacare is clearly the Democrats. Now they have some in their ranks pushing for single payer a la, poor, government controlled healthcare in Canada and elsewhere that is failing.

The GOP owns it. Voters want Obamacare fixed not repealed and they prefer Obamacare to anything the Republicans have put out. The Republicans made this partisan by not even reaching out to moderate Democrats like Joe Manchin. Now we have a bi-partisan agreement on the CSRs. The Republicans have a choice. They can pass this bi-partisan agreement or make it a partisan issue.
then why did americans vote for repeal? for five years? you're mistaken.

You are mistaken. People want is fixed not repealed. It was easy for the Republicans to be against something but now they have to be for something. Voters are not liking it.
again, five years the GOP ran on repeal. excuse me, seven years ran on REPEAL and they won. so again you lefturd, there is nothing about fix in any of that. fking loser.

Guess the joke is on you because you voted on promises of repeal and got fucked, good the more you take it the better.
I continue to fight for repeal. It was the party slogan for seven years. who left who?

Funny, does the CBO state what happens if they do nothing?

I realize the number of people getting insurance is an issue, heck, the number of people that pay for someone else's insurance, that's not related, is also an issue. But the thread pertains to rates supposedly stabilizing...not the previous two issues.

If the insurance companies need to keep raising rates to make money,

where in hell do the Republicans think that lower rates are going to come from with whatever plans the Republicans are proposing?

Before Trump was elected, Insurers were bailing from the program. How many wee left when Trump was elected? One? Two maybe?

So the AssClown OP should take that stubby little finger he's pointing at Trump and shove it up his.......

speculation drives price .. anyone actually believe RW dipshits are intelligent enough to figure that out ?
If that is true. And for your sake let’s say it is...

So the speculation during obies term was prices were going to keep going up as long as obiecare was in full force. And now that Trump is in office trying to wipe it out they are speculating the prices will stabilize and begin going down.

I’m guessing you weren’t trying to defend killing obiecare yet you did. Good job.

Why do the Insurance companies "need to keep raising rates"?

Big government and high insurance rates go hand in hand. They wash each others back. It's all a scam conceived to drive money into few pockets.

The REASON rates are sky high is BECAUSE of insurance.

BTW....noone owes you coverage for your abortions, and noone OWES you medical coverage.
That said, if your parents had asked me, I'd probably given them the funds.

Same place most liberals feel money comes from, they pull it out of their ass.

What better way to increase your bottom line than having the government cover for you with taxes. Lower rates come from being competitive. Not a government subsidy.

Then why did all the insurance companies pull out of the exchanges where the customers ARE getting subsidies?

In CT BCBS Anthem requested a 38% premium hike

They won't get it but they'll get the 25% they really wanted
