Obama: What an IDIOT!!!

The oil is going to be refined in La and then SHIPPED outside the USA. Pub dupes!

Actually the Keystone XL III will end at Nederland and Port Arthur Texas.

Phase 3

This phase, known as Cushing MarketLink, is part of the Keystone XL pipeline. This proposed phase would start from Cushing, Oklahoma where domestic oil would be added to the pipeline, then it would expand 435 miles (700 km) to a delivery point near terminals in Nederland, Texas to serve the Port Arthur, Texas marketplace.[1] Also proposed is an approximate 47 miles (76 km) previous pipeline to transport crude oil from the pipeline in Liberty County, Texas to the Houston, Texas area

Even the OIL COMPANY says 6500 jobs for 2 years, then a hundred...You believe a pile of lies, dittohead...jfc.

Bullshit again.

Keystone XL is shovel-ready.

TransCanada is poised to put 13,000 Americans to work to construct the pipeline - pipefitters, welders, mechanics, electricians, heavy equipment operators, among other jobs -

in addition to 7,000 manufacturing jobs that would be created across the U.S.

Additionally, local businesses along the pipeline route will benefit from the 118,000 spin-off jobs Keystone XL will create through increased business for local goods and service providers.
TransCanada looks forward to concluding the U.S. regulatory review process and beginning the important work of building Keystone XL. The safe and reliable operation of our pipelines and infrastructure has been TransCanada's priority for 60 years. This same commitment will drive us forward in the years ahead.

13,000 +7,000 + estimated 118,000 = 138,000 :eusa_angel:

Obama is all about promoting and maintaining govt dependency. The closer we are to a third world nation, the more we depend on govt. If you rely on govt for your daily crumb and have no hope of anything better you are going to maintain the power of those who 'give' you that meager crumb. If you can help yourself and make your own life better you don't need them anymore. And, what would be better for this country and people;s lives than good paying energy jobs? It isn't hard to understand.

Details, details...

The Keystone XL is the latest proposed tar sands pipeline expansion by TransCanada. This pipeline could bring as much as 900,000 barrels per day (bpd) of costly and polluting fuel to the U.S. Gulf Coast. If approved by the Obama Administration, this pipeline will lock the United States into a dependence on hard-to-extract oil and generate a massive expansion of the destructive tar sands oil operations in Canada. Keystone XL would be the greenhouse gas equivalent of adding over 4 million passenger vehicles to the road, or constructing 4 new coal-fired power plants every year. In addition to the damage that would be caused by the increased tar sands extraction, the pipeline threatens to pollute freshwater supplies in America’s agricultural heartland and increase emissions in already-polluted communities of the Gulf Coast. The diluted bitumen that Keystone XL would carry is a highly corrosive, acidic, and potentially unstable blend of thick raw bitumen and volatile natural gas liquid condensate that raises the risk of spills and damage to communities along the pipeline’s path. The U.S. portion of TransCanada’s first Keystone pipeline spilled a dozen times in its first year of operation. A spill from the Keystone XL poses an even greater threat, given that the pipeline would run directly through the Ogallala aquifer, which supplies one-third of our nation’s ground water used for irrigation, and drinking water to 2 million citizens

Baloney. It's the SECOND Pub Great Depession, and we're getting out it the inteligent and compassionate way- spend money to get through it. Despite the pub paralysis of congress for politics ONLY.

These are short term construction jobs that your side exagererates shamelessly. Change the channel.

If you want a roaring economy and good jobs, the energy industry would be the way to go. Coal, natural gas, shale and on and on. Abundant cheap energy and availability would result in more entrenpenurialship and on and on. But, keep everyone poor and dependent where you walk right on top of your own natural resources but have no way to access it or govt won't allow you so you can instead subsist on mud cookies

"In a speech to the Canadian Club in Toronto on September 23, 2011, Joe Oliver, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, sharply criticized opponents of oil sands development and the pipeline, arguing that:

The total area that has been affected by surface mining represents only 0.1% of Canada's boreal forest.

The oil sands account for about 0.1% of global greenhouse-gas emissions.

Electricity plants powered by coal in the U.S. generate almost 40 times more greenhouse-gas emissions than Canada's oil sands (the coal-fired electricity plants in the State of Wisconsin alone produce the equivalent of the entire GHG emissions of the oil sands).

California bitumen is more GHG-intensive than the oil sands.

Oliver criticized opponents of the pipeline, stating that all of the above facts are ignored by "celebrity protestors."

Writing in the National Post, Diane Francis argued that opposition to the pipeline "makes no sense because emissions from the oil sands are a fraction of the emissions from coal and equivalent to California heavy crude oils or ethanol" and questioned why "None of these has been getting the same attention as the oil sands and this pipeline."

YOU STUPIDLY WROTE:
"A spill from the Keystone XL poses an even greater threat, given that the pipeline would run directly through the Ogallala aquifer, which supplies one-third of our nation’s ground water used for irrigation, and drinking water to 2 million citizens"

HOW??? Each one mile carries 300 barrels!
1 Supertanker carries 1 million barrels!

WHICH would have a GREATER environmental impact?
DUH... We saw what Exxon Valdez did.. and you would prefer that?????

Aw... poor americans can't more of their precious black gold. WHA!! Jesus. you all sound like a bunch of little children who can't get their favorite toy. Get over it. Try not DRIVING so much, or riding a bicycle for once, then maybe we all wouldn't be so obese. Oh, that's right, we're American, so we are entitled to any and everything no matter what the cost is. Some of you make me literally sick to my stomach.

What makes me sick is how many people evidently would rather have another supertanker shipwreck i.e. Exxon Valdez spilling 700,000 barrels in the ocean then a quickly shut down, easily fixed maximum of 300 barrels of oil being spilled!

I mean where are you environmentalists HEADS??

DUH.. isn't 1 million barrels MORE then 300 barrels???

HOW much more simple can it be explained???

Nobody would rather have a shipwreck. We should be discouraging the continued addiction to oil, and having a direct injection of dirty oil from the tar-sands, which is an environmentally devastating operation as it is. It should be shut down, and we should be converting to renewables.

WHY are you idiots so blind to see the REALITY???

1 million barrels in ship on rough seas with drunk crew IS a greater reality and RISK then 1 mile springing a leak of less then 300 barrels!

Seriously WHY is it so hard to admit the FACT that
1) Oil will BE SHIPPED by tanker THAT's the ONLY way to get to China!
2) It will have a gigantic accident spoiling thousands of miles of ocean!

How hard is that to accept as a REALITY???

AGAIN you must really be dumber then a pile of rocks if you can't see that!

Total Pubcrappe. The Keystone is a giveaway to big oil- the oil would STILL go to China anyway- that kind of oil burns VERY DIRTY, and this is ALL BULLSHYTTE because they haven't picket a route YET.

PUB/CORPORATE DUPES!!!!!tyvm...

So IDIOT how will that oil get where it will be sold..i.e. CHINA???

DUH shipped by 1 million barrel tankers ever day 365 days a year!
And you stupidly think THAT won't have an affect on the environment??

The pipeline is 2,147 miles. Each mile carries at one time 300 barrels!

Something happens in that one mile less then 300 barrels would spill!

FACTS --- which would you prefer 1 million barrels on thousands of miles of Ocean..
300 barrels spread over 1 mile or less of LAND easily cleaned up and controled!

YOU TELL ME stupid which would be more harmful??

Something to REMEMBER folks come elections.

This is once again the Obama going AGAINST the will of the people..the same with ObamaCare..

A majority are in favor of this...

VOTE him and his comrades in arms out...

You are right!
What the difference is though are the so-called "independents" who supposedly are not ideologically driven.
Well this is for them!

IDIOTS! YOU put this dummy into office and if you don't understand this pipeline rejection is an EXAMPLE of total total ignorance of the FACT that:
1 million barrels shipped to China EVERY day by tankers on rough seas!
or at most 300 barrels in one mile of pipe spilling on to land easily accessible and cleaned up!

YOU independents! Don't you understand this idiot president you elected has NO concept of simple realities like 1 million barrels by ship is worse then 300 barrels!

Not to mention that he is doing eveything he can to take this Republic down. It's on purpose, by design.

When it's profitable to get it out we will, corporate/Pub dupe.. That's the REAL Conservative way to do it.

Natural gas costs less then a third of what your green energy costs. Fossil fuels are all cheaper then any of the green alternatives. Make energy cost more and ALL COSTS go up.
But you'd have to be honest to admit that. Something you clearly are not!
