When you run a business and an employee doesn't perform to your desires or expectations you do what Trump is famous for === you FIRE them.

But when you run a government and a Senator or Representative doesn't do what you want === YOU CAN'T FIRE THEM.

Lots of that technology was first made by the government and the military. 2 of them, which we use quite a bit today and don't think much about are in our cars. Radar (which allows cars to avoid collisions), and GPS (which allows you to know where you are at). Both were technologies developed for the military, and there were a few times that the government wanted to balk at releasing it to the civilian populace.

Oh yeah..............and while you're reading this, think about 2 other techs that were developed by the military..................computers and the internet.
