Obama Speaks to President of Iran in First Talk Since 1979

This story reminds me of this picture, I have no idea why.

I imagine it's the piles of bullshit associated with it.

Iran’s ‘charm offensive’ hits gravel at UN

By*MICHAEL WILNERLAST UPDATED: 09/27/2013 11:03Select Language▼

At his UN debut, Rouhani called for "immediate, results oriented" talks on Tehran's nuclear program but gave few details on how far Iran would be willing to go to remove the international community's concerns.

Communication is only good if there is at least some expectation of any good coming from it.
The Iranian government is one of the most least trustworthy governments on the planet. There is almost a 100% guarantee that everything they say carries no actual weight.
It is a complete waist of time. And why more practical and result oriented Presidents have not done so in 34 years.

MAAN News agency bahahaha !

I laugh at the Palestinian fantasies that flow through your mind Sherri !

Talking beats shedding the blood of the innocent, like we did in Iraq, any day, the way I see it.

I suggest you take just 20 minutes or so and just look at photos/videos of life in Iran's major cities.
Unreal.
This government is nothing less than a brainwashing machine of hatred and division.
They have successfully produced generations of people who are willing to kill innocent people for no other reason other than they do not belong to their religion. All over their cities are giant building sized photos and signs praising martyrs, otherwise knows as suicide bombers and terrorist.

I AM not eager to watch America carry out another Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

TWICE was enough.

"The*atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki*in Japan were conducted by the*United Statesduring the final stages of*World War II in 1945. The two events are the only use of*nuclear weapons*in war to date."

They followed a *firebombing campaign of Japanese cities.

"90,000–166,000 killed in Hiroshima[1]60,000–80,000 killed in Nagasaki[1]Total: 150,000–246,000+ killed"

"Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000–80,000 in Nagasaki, with roughly half of the deaths in each city occurring on the first day. The Hiroshima prefecture health department estimated that, of the people who died on the day of the explosion, 60% died from flash or flame burns, 30% from falling debris and 10% from other causes. During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns,*radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness. In a US estimate of the total immediate and short term cause of death, 15–20% died from radiation sickness, 20–30% from burns, and 50–60% from other injuries, compounded by illness. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizeable garrison."

So we got a President that will is wanting to improve a relationship with a country that treats women like second class citizens, will kill gays, will kill Americans, has detained Americans in prison for years.

However, he won't show leadership in dealing with Congress.

Iranian MoveOn Member Explains Why You Should Speak Up

For the first time in 35 years, U.S. and Iranian leaders might meet this week at the UN General Assembly. Sara Haghdoosti is fighting to make that happen. As part of*Berim*(Farsi for “Let’s go”), the organization she founded to create a free Iran, the Iranian-born woman*started a MoveOn petition*urging President Obama to meet with Iran’s new president, Hassan Rouhani. “I was really scared that no one would sign it,” she says — but more than 46,000 people have! Before delivering the petition, she answered a few of our questions.
