AP KAILUA, Hawaii (Reuters) – U.S. President-elect Barack Obama said on Tuesday he agreed that Senate Democrats "cannot accept" any move by Illinois' scandal-tarred governor to name a replacement for Obama's Senate seat.

Obama said he was disappointed that Gov. Rod Blagojevich -- who has been accused of trying to sell the vacant Senate seat -- had appointed former state attorney general Roland Burris to fill the vacancy.

Just think if a white president-elect said this???? He would be the biggest racist in the world... even though there is a valid reason for this regardless of race.

Like it or not it happens everyday... Why do you think that guy from Illinois brought race into the issue when he said the Senate should not deny an attempt to seat the only black senator...

You may not live in that world but unfortunately I do.

KMAN is exactly right. If John McCain said this, he would be called everything in the book by the African American Community. He would win "The Biggest Racist Award" from Jesse Jackson Sr.

However, Obama (and I hate to say it...) is absolutely right on this issue. He knows that anyone that Blago appoints is tainted, even if he was to appoint the most honest person in America. With Obama supporting Reid and Jesse White's decisions, we probably won't see any Blago appointments seated.

You have to be kidding me. If McCain said that same quote that Obama said, he would be a racist for supporting the non-seating of Burris....

If you don't know that is how it works with Liberals by now... then you are the moron...

the sad thing is, if Blago had appointed a white person and Obama said exactly what he just said the right would be saying it's only cuz the person Blago appointed wasn't black.......

Obama is right, Blago should NOT be able to appoint anyone to that seat.... not when he's been indicted for trying to sell said seat.
