I agree. He was not good for us as President but he was/is a good politician with the ability to come across as likable. Frankly I don't CARE about something he wrote 40 years ago that may have been heartfelt, a prank/satire or who the hell knows. Probably all of us wrote or said something when in or barely out of our teen years that we wouldn't want to see on the front page of the newspaper now. Or even when we were older.

I have plenty of problems with Obama's policies, many of which were very bad for America and Americans such as screwing up our healthcare system big time with devastating effect on several economic factors, his subtle anti-Americanism, his NWO agenda that was not good. But compared to Joe Biden, his administration wasn't as bad as that.

I don't KNOW whether Michelle Obama is transgendered for certain but after viewing photos of her from childhood on I am comfortable to believe that she was born as and remained a woman. I do know those photos of her with masculine features or displaying male genitalia are malicious photo shopped photos and it is morally and ethically wrong to use them to smear her and/or Obama.

If a person is a bad/ineffective/incompetent person or wrong in their job, it should be possible to use honest facts to criticize/condemn policies, orders, consequences. I can easily do that with Obama and it's like shooting fish in a barrel with Biden. What happened 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago might be interesting and provide insight into their behavior and/or mindset now, but what they do in office is what should be judged.

But Obama's sexual fantasies of four decades ago are not all that big deal.

There are entertainers--singers, movie/television personalities, etc.--who I strongly oppose their sociopolitical views and/or detest their real life activities/actions but who are brilliant at their craft. I accept their talent as God given and can listen to their music or watch their movies etc. with appreciation without having to appreciate how they personally think or live their lives.

Yes Obama was a terrible President and was very frequently thoroughly dishonest. I still bitterly resent how he snookered America with his "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor" lie that he knew was a bald faced lie. Anybody who lies like that is definitely a phony.

But can he be personable? Likable? Yes. And however I evaluate him as a President or even his demonstrated character as a person, I have no problem giving him credit for that.

That's how I can happily vote for President Trump again even though he is often annoyingly petty, petulant, and can be unlikable. I'm not voting for a personality. I'm voting for good effect and results as President and he delivered there like no other.

I reject the way far out conspiracy theories, name calling, assigned talking points with no merit to them, general ugliness and hatefulness coming from both sides. School yard mentality, gullibility, religious partisanship wears thin with me very quickly. Maybe I need more patience but I'm not inclined to work at developing it in this area.

I don't have to hate Obama, and I don't, to very much resent the damage he did to us all or reject wrong headed policies he pushes now. And resenting that damage and rejecting those policies do not require me to dislike/hate everything about him.
