This might be what you're looking for.

Obama to slash National Guard force on U.S.-Mexico border - Washington Times

Citing budget cuts, the Obama administration early next year will cut the number of National Guard troops patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border by at least half, according to a congressman who was briefed on the plan.

The National Guard said an announcement will be made by the White House “in the near future,” but Rep. Duncan Hunter, a California Republican who has learned of the plans, said slashing the deployment in half is the minimum number, and he said it will mean reshuffling the remaining troops along the nearly 2,000-mile border

obama is quite clever. He says one thing and does another.

Obama to beef up Mexico border policy - CNN

President Obama on Tuesday vowed to invest the resources needed to address the threat posed by drug traffickers in Mexico.

"We are going to continue to monitor the situation, and if the steps we have taken do not get the job done, then we will do more," he told reporters Tuesday night.

    He's promised to promise.

You want to see him do it again?

    This what he said.

Apprehensions Of Migrants Down Along US-Mexico Border | Fronteras Desk

TUCSON — Apprehensions of illegal immigrants along the Arizona border are at their lowest point in 17 years, a statistic that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials recently touted in Tucson. In fact, there’s been a massive reduction in illegal immigrant arrests across the entire U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal year 2011, which ended in September.

    This is what he did.

Arizona Border Agents Confirm Administration’s No-Apprehension of Illegals Policy | The Lonely Conservative

An Arizona sheriff says he has been flooded with calls and emails of support from local and federal agents who back his claims that the U.S. Border Patrol has effectively ordered them to stop apprehending illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexican border.

“Upper management has advised supervisors to have agents ‘turn back South’ (TBS) the illegal aliens (aka bodies) they detect attempting to unlawfully enter the country … at times you even hear supervisors order the agents over the radio to ‘TBS’ the aliens instead of catching them,” one San Diego border agent wrote in an email to Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever.

Now that we've got beheadings in California, Oklahoma and Arizona maybe he'll really do something, but I doubt it. Any regime that runs guns to the cartels isn't about to stop a few beheadings.

Troops are being pulled from the border because they are using other means to catch those crossing and crossing are down except for drug smugglings. Troops were not involved except to look and tell agenst were illegals were and not effective because they did not have enough border patrol agents to cover the areas. There are other more effective ways being imployed.
Find something else to blame obama for.
Cartel violence is down on the border because of the seucirty and they are moving on to other parts of mexico.
    what threat?

Border crossings are down, deportations are up because of Obama and less are making attempts to cross. Obama has been more effective on the situation on the border than any other president.
