When you have conservatives openly protesting and openly fighting to get their voices heard against an increasingly concerted effort to silence them there is a REAL problem. The right does not normally protest in this manner in this country.

I think people are beginning to wake up and see Obama for what he really is. Not everybody who is making all the noise is a Republican or a conservative. There are some Democrats in that mix too. America is getting tired of all the crap coming out of Washington these days and Congressmen who could care less what the folks back at home want. They are getting fed up and beginning to make their ire known to their representatives. Instead of being so condecending, it would be a good time for those Congressmen to pay attention to what is going on and listen to what the public really wants. Obama and crew are loosing popularity more and more everyday. They are aware of it and are running scared because they have been exposed for what they really are. I'm sure Obama is aware that he's going to be a one term President. Members of the Democratic Congress are aware of that too and they don't want to be thrown out with the bath water when their term is over too so you're going to see them turn away from Obama. The gigs over. Time for them to get serious if they want to keep their jobs.

The last time the right protested this loudly was during the Civil Rights era

Exactly. And it was pretty bad. How'd they do on that one, again?

Seriously doubt Obama thinks he will only have one term.

It is way too early to predict how popular and effective his first term will be.

I am sure the Obamabots are already gearing up for his re-election

In 1984, Ron Reagan ran on a position of "are you better off today than you were four years ago?" He took over from an unpopular president and the country was in economic ruin. By TRIPLING the deficit he was able to curb unemployment and reduce interest rates. He spent his way out of the recession.

Obama will run on the same platform. He will remind us of the collapse of the stock market and housing industry and the skyrocketing unemployment. He will point to foreign policy and the conditions in Iraq and Afghanistan. If he has the country in worse shape than Jan 2008 he will lose. If we are better off, he will win by landslide again

With Voices like MLK, pretty well. How did Senator Byrd do?

He will remind us of everything but the source.

It wasn't the trippling of the Deficit dude it was the reducing of the tax rates.

As for the racist claptrap you do know that a higher percentage of Republicans voted for the 64 civil rights act than Deomcrats and that through out the south and in many places in the Midwest for much of it's history the Democratic Party was pretty much a wholly owned subsidiary of the KKK.

It was the Republican Eisenhower, who nationalized the Arkansas national guard when the Democrat Orville Faubas tried to use it to block integration of the Little Rock Public school System.

Reagans "Tinkle down" theory never worked. He poured billions into the defense industry which helped create jobs

You appear confused with the concept "right wing" and republicans. The Dixiecrats supported segregation, they were far from liberal thinkers. After Dems JFK and LBJ pushed thru civil rights, Dixiecrats abandoned the party and became...........Republicans

Eisenhower was a great republican. How we miss republicans like Ike. Faubas was a Dixiecrat

Those same 'right' wingers voted lock step with LBJ on the Great Society programs. Yeah they were really far to the right. Racism is the province of the left not the right.

The KKK and Aryan Nation, and the Nation of Islam are just another bunch of leftist social engineers. That what they wish to engineer isn't as well thought of as what Obama and company wish to engineer in certain circles makes them no less politically left.

It was the LEFT that protested civil rights, numbnuts.

George Wallace...Robert Byrd...the list goes on and on.

Once again, you are confusing Republican/Democrat with Right/Left
Today there is a firm connection. It wasn't this way in the 50s and 60s
You had a rift between the Segregationists and Liberals within the Democratic party. The Dixiecrats were far from liberal. Wallace, Lester Maddox, Bull Connor were all Democrats...nobody ever confused them with being Liberals.
After LBJ, the Dixiecrats deserted in droves. Where did they go????................Republicans

Brownshirts will be Brownshirts. Your masters see the ability to steal billions from the working man going down the drain, and they have pulled your string. So you are all going out to defend their right to bilk you. Typical.

Well, I am making my point of view known, also. As are, increasingly, the men I work with. These are not paper pushers, but tradesmen, millwrights, electricians, and automation people. And we don't like the idea of a bunch of Brownshirts closing down meetings so that we do not get to speak to our representative.

And you are starting to see the push back. And it will become greater.

I see you reread the communist manifesto. It's fresh in your mind, eh Roxy?

And I see that you have yet to read anything. Small of mind, mean of spirit, useless to society as a whole. Just like your namesake.
