I did. That is not demonizing...that is attacking his critics with his belief as to why they are wrong.

Demonizing refers to saying "The democrats are wrong and they are only looking to buy votes" or "the deomcrats are the party of really suck ass ideas with no substance" or "the democrats have it in for White America"....

Demonizing is NOT using YOUR rationale to discredit THEIR rationale. That is simple debate. I am fine with that.

I do not like the democrats saying:

"the party of no ideas" when in fact, they offered many for each intitiative. The democrats disagree with them, and that too is fine, but that does not mean they have no ideas

And.... "the party for only the rich"....as that is not true and simply rhetoric

That is demonizing the character...not refuting ideas with other ideas.

Are you talking about Obama specifically or the Democrats as a whole? If the latter, I can certainly provide many examples of the Republicans, and the right demonizing Democrats and the left starting with Newt's Moral Majority and Clinton.

Criticizing an ideology based on the credibility of ideas is BY NO MEANS the same as criticizing an ideology based on the character of the people WITH that ideology.

To call a conservative a racist becuase we do not believe in tax payer dollars going to healthcare is not the same as saying that conserrvative thinking is wrong as we all need to help one another.

Health Care:
The repoublicans only want the status quo

This was not true. They offered a variety of ideas for healthcare. Obama did not want to go with them. That is fine. That is the way it is. He won. But why did he need to demonize them by saying that ONLY want the status quo?

Economy:
The repubnlicans want to let the rich keep their Bush Tax Cuts.

This was demonizing. The republicans wnat the JOB CREATORS to keep their tax cuts during this recession. Yes, the job creators are the wealthier Americans....but it is not thier wealth the republicans are trying to salvage...it is their ability to creqat jobs they are trying to salvage. (whether right or wrong is not the issue).

There are tweo VERY OBVIOUS examples off the top of my head.

Mr Prager is wrong. My politics lean toward the left and I cannot relate to what Mr Prager says about the left. It doesn't fit for my experience.

I don't think the right is evil. Nor do I consider my politics a religion. I have a religion, and it certainly affects my politics.

Mr Prager just lays out some broad sweeping generalizations. The other consideration is the people he quotes do not represent what the collecitve left thinks or feels.

I think there is far too much of this stereotyping and demonizing of the other side of the aisle.
