It’s sound pretty until you experience it first hand.

After AOC Chased Amazon Jobs Away, Some New Yorkers Begin to Understand Socialism

In Socialism the only ones who need high paying, rewarding jobs are the Party Leaders; everyone else is equal

Ironically, the collusion involved in state governments bribing Amazon is more in line with socialism than it is with free-market capitalism.

By "bribing" Amazon you mean they would "only" pay $27,000.000,000.00 for the privilege of bringing in several 1000 high jobs averaging $150,000.00. each?

Government making promises to get off the backs of a business to intice it to locate there is the inverse of socialism.

Not really. It's government exercising power over business. States use their ability to manipulate the tax code, to give out special favors to businesses who "play ball", to coerce businesses into relocating there. It's antithetical to free markets and an egregious violation of equal protection.

Yep. It's government colluding with business, generally seen as precursor to straight up socialism, where government and business are merged completely.

Amazon was free to choose, Dufus. There was no power any government had.

Sure, comrade.

LOL

Given what we know, you really want to go with that answer? Amazon walked away. NY didn't coerce them one little bit, did they?

How is not meeting AMAZONS bribery demands a form of socialism?

Amazon didn't demand anything. However, not living up to the agreements made with Amazon is not socialism, true. It's simply stupid.

I find it amusing that there are some trying to equate a state's attempt to entice economic growth into their state as some kind of socialism when in fact, it is an open and capitalistic thing to do. NY was in competition with other states, and open competition is the definition of capitalism.

Exactly. Amazon let it be known they were going to build a facility and let the bidding begin.

Oh shit. That’s free market.

What is Capitalism?

You have something I want, I have something you want, we trade each other for it.

Amazon had something the New York wanted; Jobs.

New York wanted what Amazon had and Amazon wanted a better business environment for their jobs. They were ready to trade with the State who made the best offer.

It does NOT get more capitalistic than that.

Hell, if I remember right, Amazon sent out bid notices to every State letting everyone know they had a commodity open for bidding.
