I agree old rocks. Every single great civilization centered on its ability to value knowledge and innovation. Greeks, Romans, Indians(india), Aztecs, Inca, Chakia, Florance, Briton, Russian empire, Egypt, Ancient China, Abbasids, etc. All these civilizations have one thing in common for their downfall...They gave up on science and a mindset of advancement ever forward.
They said no, it isn't worth it and they died. America became the greatest country in the world by saying, yes we can! Yes, we can go to the moon! Yes, we can build these freeways! Yes, we can build these dams! Yes, we can educate all of our children! Yes, we can send lewis and clark to the pacific, and yes we can be the best. The weird thing is people like Mr.H would blame Obama when he see's us slipping in rank in the world but has not a goddamn thing to offer to turn us back onto the right path. People like him would rather defund blindly then think for two seconds about the damage that would do to his country...He has no right to whine.
A mission to pluto or a manned mission to mars is the greatest sign of American strength. Something to truly be proud of. It is like building the great wall of china for the Ming Chinese or building roads or moving water from one place to the next for the Romans or Inca. Doing such has always made great civilizations stand out in world history and brought respect down on the nation that done so.
People that think we shouldn't are the same kind of people that lay in their waste in Haiti or Africa. They're little better then *******. They may have a excuse to be against welfare but against jobs and a route to the middle class? Against keeping our nation at the cutting edge??? Give me a break.
