However the link is positive toward the author and even it has a list of some very questionable scenes and topics regarding homosexuality.

Kids should be getting an education in the 3 R's, not homosexual sex.

Why shouldn't we allow kids to be kids? It's a great time in their lives and they have enough to worry about in life without some adults pushing them into topics that should be limited to adults. Or high school, at least.

These are books typically geared for teens. It can be a great time in their lives but also miserable time. Everything is changing, their sense of self, their bodies, their awareness of sexuality. I think some books are way to graphic, but banning books solely on sexuality is not going to make it disappear from their minds.

Well….it of course got back to the gay teacher, and what did he do? He forced me to read a page full of the gay stuff out loud to the class.

P.S. Ask the young adult working the help desk for a book about transgenders, or how oppressed blacks are, and they can help you right off. Ask where you can find Gulliver’s Travels, and you get a blank look before they head off to the computer to do a search.

Wow, that is pretty crazy. That would have never flown where I went to high school, granted a while back now. The teacher would have been fired the day he/she assigned that book to read. My kids go to private school and we live in a very red area(thank goodness), but I don't think that would go over even today in the public schools around here. I know for certain that making a kid read gay porn in front of the class would be a no go. As a parent, I would go absolutely bananas. It is possible that the assignment of the book(not the reading aloud part) could be accepted in the downtown area that has been infiltrated by lefties from the North escaping the effects of the policies for which they voted.

Thanks. Also, I did NOT tell my Dad that the vindictive gay teacher made me read the parts out loud, because Dad would have gone right back to the school and complained. I knew the gay liberal teacher would punish me even more as a result.
