I don't think so. He is quick to return insult for insult and fire back when attacked. But he has never demonstrated any tendency to use his power to take revenge on political opponents. He just doesn't seem to be wired that way.

Trump is facing 91 indictments. The odds of him not being convicted of some of them are slim. By the time these trials start and finish several of the primaries will already be completed. If the polls are accurate and he does win all of these delegates what happens then if a quarter of his voters choose not to support him? Will the RNC replace him at the convention? That's a tough sell.

It makes no sense to support this man's candidacy with so much hanging in the ballot when there are other viable candidates like DeSantis and Haley who can win the general election. MAGA is working overtime to reelect Joe Biden.

Depending on how things pan out, this literally could end up getting decided in the House in January 2025 if the SCOTUS doesn't make a definitive ruling on Trump's eligibility in pretty short order. A GOP-controlled House might very well nullify Biden electors from every state that keeps Trump off the ballot and then have a one state-one vote presidential do-over election right there on the floor of the chamber.
