It's not so much about which religion is "better" than another, it's a question of swearing your oath on something that is spiritually significant to you.

For Christians it's the Bible. For Jews it's the Torah, and for Muslims, it's the Koran.

The governor of Hawaii swore her oath on a Torah back in 2001.
