Myanmar’s Rohingya Refugee Crisis, Explained

The Muslim minority hits the Buddhist majority with terrorist attack after terrorist attack. Eventually even peaceful Buddhists will hit back. I mean the world only expects only white people and Jews to live with Muslim terrorism and not doing anything about, but Buddhist now also?

The PM of Myanmar won the Nobel Peace prize because she held back her men in the face of Muslim terrorism. Well not any more. Like always the Muslims picked this fight and are getting their asses kicked.

Now they expect the West to take in 200k Muslims who are filled with active Islamists, support an intolerant cult religion that is incompatible with Western culture and values and will undoubtably be ungrateful belligerent guests who believe they own the place.

I say they Muslims in Myanmar made their own beds and time for them to lay in it. Not one Muslim terrorist from Myanmar should be allowed into the west and do not take away the President's Nobel Peace prize or the Western foreign investment.

Fuck Islam, the religion of war!

EVERYWHERE in the world where Muslims exist with other groups there are issues. I think, though extreme, the Burmese are dealing with Muslims the way that they need to be dealt with.

From the article that you linked in the OP ....

3. How have the Rohingya been treated?
Myanmar’s authorities have progressively denied the Rohingya rights and, along with vigilantes sometimes led by Buddhist monks, persecuted them, driving them from their homes and into neighboring countries, mostly Bangladesh. In 1982, the government stripped the Rohingya of citizenship. In the name of bringing order to Rakhine, the army launched an operation in 1991 featuring forced labor, rape and religious suppression. The Rohingya face numerous legal restrictions. Couples need government permission to marry and to travel beyond their home town or move to a new one. Those in two of Rakhine’s cities are limited to having two children.

Which is just ignoring the problem that actually exists. But nice try trying to explain a situation you don't understand.

The vast majority of Rohingya Muslims are not legal citizens. Further, this large, mostly illegal population has pressured the government for special rights and their own autonomous state.
The Myanmar government is simply showing them the door back into neighboring Muslim shithole Bangladesh.

Myanmar military is under ethnic cleansing, shooting civilians, burning their villages down and raping women. That is after forcing them into concentration camp like conditions, forbidding them from working, from educating their children...and not to mention stripped them of citizenship and made them a stateless people. If this were any other group, but muslims, folks would be in an uproar. It is a horrific humanitarian situation and the fact the President says and does nothing makes her unworthy of her Nobel prize.

OMFG! WHY??!!...Yet I am willing to bet a month's pay that you have NEVER opined on the plight of Christians in Syria and Iraq or the persecution of Buddhists in Indonesia.
Moral weather vanes...

They have lived there for hundreds of years as legal citizens. Their citizenless status is a recent government decree.

You would bet wrong.

So I am guessing you are fine with persecution?

The Rohingya have lived in Myanmar for centuries.

Just because the state, formally known as Burma, didn't give the Rohingya people citizenship when the country was formed. Doesn't negate their right to live on the land of their ancestors in peace. .....

So I guess you are fine with selectively being informed as to which side persecutes and harms whom? Have you researched the history of this conflict? I have and I can tell you that the Rohingya have been doing what Muslims do when they start to gain a majority in an area. They began to bully the local Busddhist..the same as in the south of Thailand..the same as in Sulawesi in Indonesia...the same as in the Penang area of Malaysia. This is nothing new in SE Asia. Muslims...no matter what sect they occupy..DO NOT play nice. This is history and this is fact.

Because they are not Burmese. They dont and wont speak Burmese. They are nomadic and have historically never contributed to Burmese culture. They have chosen to remain outside of the culture which is typical of Muslim populations throughout the world. Oh...but now they want citizenship and their own autonomous state? GTFO...Muslims are Muslims no matter the place.

I misread, I thought you were stating that they had been given citizenship. Further, no they do not deserve citizenship...read my response to Sunni Man.

Ah. So you are fine with persecution, ethnic cleansing and genocide if it's the right religious group involved. Thank you for clarifying.
