Hello all...Just got back from lunch/dinner and seeing Battle; Los Angeles.
Not bad, its actually minus the whiz bang pyro and special effects like a Marines go get them Japs ww2 movie.
Aliens invade coastal cities around the world.
Won’t tell you why, it’s the story of a platoon of Marines, big on ooohraah as they are sent to rescue several civilians caught behind enemy lines, they are going to call in a massive B-52 strike on Santa Monica to wipe out the beachhead the aliens have made so they have to get them out ogf the balst zone.
The aliens don’t realize of course that the homeless in Santa Monica are almost sacred and their asses will be sued by the ACLU, so in fact they are lucky the Marines are going to kill them all
........anyway, it goes on from there. It was actually pretty rah rah and showed the service in a very good light. It was entertaining.
