It is a shame that anyone tries to blame Nixon for Vietnam.

Nixon deserves the blame for his part in extending the war for years and brilliantly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

LBJ was taking the weapons the US taxpayer purchased for our troops in nam and siphoning them off to Israel.

Wacky dude. We didn't start selling in mass to Israel until the end of 67. Selling is the key, not giving. The aid packages came later. Before that, they relied on European sources for their hardware.

Nixon, unlike Obama, scuttled his predecessors peace talks that would have ended the war before Nixon was elected. Then he reneged on his promise of a better peace deal for the South but in the end his extra 4 years cost the lives of tens of thousands of our soldiers.

Vietnam was more about the end of WWII and Iraq was about liberating their oil to the international market than serving your nemesis Israel.
