Jobs forcast is for continued upward growth

Hmmm... That map looks a lot like this map... Coincidence... I think not.

RealClearPolitics - Electoral Map

You wouldn't be one of those people rooting for the economy to fail for political reasons would you?

Why else would you post a political map on an ECONOMIC thread?

Just providing information... There is a reason Texas is projected to have more jobs than other states... Day after day there is proof that high taxes and subsidies don't work yet some people still want to do these things... :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

Jobs is Jobs is Jobs.....

When getting out of a recession there are NO BAD JOBS

Temporary, Seasonal, Part Time, Census, Government, Private, Self Employed....

All are needed while we emerge from recession

Unfortunately, that is exactly how the left thinks.

A public sector job costs the people money and has no return whatsoever. Albeit, it puts food on the table for a family and that is a great return. But it does nothing for economic growth seeing as unemployment ALSO puts food on the table.

Private sector job implies economic growth.

While I appreciate your sentiment, I won't go so far as to say that ALL government jobs are a drain on the economy. Those public sector jobs NECESSARY, and the operative word here is NECESSARY to protect life and property, educate the children, keep the public services--trash pickup, sewage, water treatment etc.--running efficiently can and do add to the economy by making a place a safe, pleasant, and more prosperous place to live. Such public servants make it possible for the rest of us to be much more productive than we otherwise would be able to be if each of us had to provide those kinds of services for ourselves.

But obviously in any community, you only need so many of such public servants, and whenever there are more people on the government payroll at any level than is necessary to provide essential services, then government jobs become a drain on the economy and counter productive to growth.

True...but I am referring to things like what we ase starting to see here in NY.
A fourth man/woman on a sanitation truck team. It used to be one driver and two on the back. Now it is one driver, two on the back and one in the passenger seat that is a "rotation" guy.

Exactly. Whenver government is for the purpose of enabling the private sector to be more productive and prosperous, government is an integral part of the social contract and is beneficial, even necessary.

Whenever a government job is for the purpose of giving somebody a job and has no other practical purpose to benefit the private sector, it becomes counter productive and a negative thing. It puts the people in the position of working for government (socialism) rather than the government working for the people as was the vision this country was founded on.

Not all jobs are created equal. Temporary job is not equal to a permanent full time job.

No they aren't....but when you are unemployed in a market coming out of recession, any job is welcome.

The first jobs available are usually Temp, part time and no benefits. Once the market settles, permanent jobs become available

Still, coming off a recession that more than doubled the unemployment rate....all positive growth is ECONOMIC GOOD NEWS

Not true. Our society requires a certain percentage of Government jobs just to function. Those Govenment jobs provide stability in a time of economic uncertainty.

FoxFyre posits
The raw stats for May looked great with more than 400,000 new jobs added until you realize that less than 10% of those jobs were in the private sector and almost all the rest continue to drain public resources and add to the deficit.

Yeah that would suck.

Can you direct us to your source of data for this, please?

We need only as many government jobs as are NECESSARY to maximize private sector productivity and growth.

Are you honestly going to say that more than 90% new government jobs against less than 10% private sector jobs is a healthy thing?

Nobody drinks that much kool-ade.

You think Temporary jobs are worth getting excited over by making a claim that job growth is growing. What about next month when all of those temp jobs are gone will you be thrilled then? Only fulltime employment is the register of a healthy economy.
I have news for the obama faithful it's not going to get any better. As long as obama keeps doing what he is doing and the democrats pass new laws it will keep getting worse.

Where does it say it was not intended to be that way. The US is allowed to provide as big a government as it needs. The founding fathers never saw a need to restrict this....nor should they have

No liberal twist of the words please. We are not susposed to have a federal government this big. If we were supposed to have one this big why didn't the federal government start the welfare programs in the begining? Why didn't they have a section just for welfare for the people in the constitution?

This ought to cheer you guys up.....Good News for ALL Americans

Jobless rates drop in two-thirds of metro areas - USATODAY.com

WASHINGTON — Unemployment rates in roughly two-thirds of the nation's largest metropolitan areas dipped in May as the gradual economic recovery spurred some hiring.
The Labor Department says the jobless rates dropped in 237 of 382 areas in May from April. It rose in 118 areas and was flat in 27.

The figures aren't adjusted to account for seasonal trends, such as lifeguards hired during the summer or retail clerks let go after the holiday shopping season. So they tend to be volatile from month to month.

Among the places seeing large declines in their jobless rates are Ocean City, N.J.; Sandusky, Ohio and Springfield, Ill. By contrast, areas in Louisiana hit by the BP oil spill saw gains. Those includes Baton Rouge, New Orleans-Metairie-Kenner and Houma-Bayou Cane-Thibodaux.

Thanks for bumping all this GOOD NEWS to the top

Nice try. This article doesn't even say how much the "jobless" rate dropped in those 237 "areas". We're supposed to be happy if it dropped 0.01% ??

How about some hard fucking data, instead of pure propaganda filled with generalities. This article provides NO DATA at all.

Carry-on, Blowhard-winger.

Weak economic data suggest recovery is fizzling - Yahoo! Finance

Just more evidence that the Obama-Palosi-Reid economic recovery plan is an utter joke of a failure. Their incompetence and ineptness have done more to cause sustainable damage to this economy than libtards can even dream Boooosh did. 4 years of a democratic congress and two wasted years of a uber-liberal hyper partisan hack of a president have done nothing but spin more and more of the public into a level of pissed off not seen in generations. You idiot libs have NO CREDIBLE SUBSTANCE when blaming this continued decay of our economy on repubs. ITS ALL ON YOUR SHOULDERS!!!! And further more, I could give a fuck less what you stupid liberal parrots and sheep are going to say in response to this because YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Start spinning your failures bitches...

Man, these BO supporters are desparate.

The unemployment rose again last month and construction is down. For construction to be down in the middle of summer is devastating news. The libs will barrage us with all kinds of deflective items to cover that fact. The Dems are going to be demolished in Nov.

More good news... At least the unemployment rate isn't 20%!! At least I wasn't diagnosed with ALS today!

WTF??????????????? Are these nitwits for real?

MORE GOOD NEWS according to the Hussein blowhards:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Tthe U.S. economy lost jobs for the first time this year in June, as hiring by modest businesses only partly offset the end of temporary Census jobs.

The Labor Department on Friday reported a net loss of 125,000 jobs overall in the month. That was due primarily to the loss of 225,000 census jobs that had swelled payrolls by 433,000 net jobs in May. Economists surveyed by Briefing.com had forecast a loss of 100,000 jobs in June.

Business hiring rebounded to 83,000 in the latest reading, which was a bit weaker than hoped, from a revised total of 33,000 jobs in May,

Besides the loss of census jobs, state and local governments cut 10,000 jobs in the month. That, and the gain of 27,000 non-census jobs by the federal government, lead to the overall loss in jobs.

The unemployment rate fell to 9.5% from 9.7% in May. Economists had forecast it would climb to 9.8%. But the improvement was due mostly to many discouraged job seekers not bothering to look for work during the month and no longer being counted as in the labor force, not because of any gain in jobs.
Job losses return for first time in 2010 - Jul. 2, 2010

Lets just stop counting people without jobs so we can report more "good news" that the unemployment rate has dropped.

LOL. You can't make this shit up.

Indeed. Once they stop providing the 'stimulus' with their unemployment check, they can help out reducing the unemployment rate by not looking...

Every month more will join the march to improving the employment numbers.

The housing market is tanking again as well.

I guess the taxpayer funded new home owner deal is done so no one is buying. Gee. Fuck. Imagine that.

Oh yeah. The economy is roaring along. Jeeze.
