It does appear to make fiscal sense. They only have so much money to spend on education. Maybe other states will follow their lead.

---A new bill introduced in the Mississippi State Legislature may lead to the closure of three state universities by 2028.---

Wonder what their percentage of DEI employees is? You used to be able to work and go to school at the same and come out relatively debt free.....gee wonder what changed

Alcorn has an undergrad enrollment of 2,346 ; Mississippi Valley, 1,654; and Jackson State, 4,763. Our local community college has 3,600 students. I see no reason the first two shouldn't go.

Anyone notice what's similar about these three? Anyone?

They are all HBCU, Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

So no surprise.
