In conversation on a different thread the subject of Redheads came up in regard to men's fascination with women who have red hair. Men: Can you describe the IT factor of this attraction?

Just rip it out and stomp on it.

Go ahead.

I still ain't gonna talk about it.

Just speaking for myself, and just my personal opinion, I've found over the years that redheads have a much more open personality, less drama, less vanity, and more liberal towards sex. Also, they seem to want to argue less, unless you really get one pissed. The last thing you want to do is get one really pissed and fired up. I've never met a prudish redhead in my life, and I've met many redheads, both in private like and in a working environment.

I just found they suck the lifeblood out of you.

That's all I am saying.

Point taken, and agreed to.

Interesting observations.

Both wives redhead.

No need to discuss what guys know.

JakeStarkey? A bigamist? ha ha! JK

Can anyone explain the bullying against redheads, carrot tops, "gingers"

Is it just being different? Standing out that gets redheads targeted?
Or was it a cultural leftover from the days of enslaving Irish and
treating them like the "[gingers] of Europe"

My bf went through that, until he learned karate and finally got left alone.

I swore I hated red hair on guys, and yet I ended up with a redhead
I adore like my own rendition of Thomas Jefferson in this lifetime.

My bf and I are totally different on the surface.
Underneath we were brought up with the same conservative
strong family upbringing where we agree on the practical real issues.
But all the other things on the surface, we approach completely opposite.

I don't get the redhead thing at all.
Ended up with one and don't know why I even like the guy,
much less love him as my own special gift from God made just for me to adore for life.
Nobody gets it. I just stare at him and know God planned this perfectly
and knows what he is doing because I don't certainly don't get it!

The difference in men having red hair vs women having red hair is a weird stereotype I have found intriguing

It has been interesting to me because growing up and looking like Laura Ingalls was not the ideal image to get a date but yet as an adult I have been told that many men are drawn to the hair and skin tone. Is this something men have to grow up to appreciate?

Is it the LENGTH of the hair?
That LONG red hair is sexy but short red hair is like waving a red flag in front of a bull?

If men had LONG Auburn-dark red hair would that be considered exotic also?

I don't know, many women find Scotsman to be quite handsome

Being from a large family with Irish heritage predominate, redheads are no novelty for me.

I have few prerequisites. I like my woman brilliant, athletic and damn good looking. Anything else is gravy.
