Time to destroy some lies liberals are telling.
The media likes to pretend that gun stores hand out guns to anyone with no questions. They also pretend that there is such a thing as an abbreviated background check. Of course, this is all part of the left's narrative that it's too easy to get guns and, therefore, they must act immediately. They never, ever discuss how criminals get guns from other criminals with no background checks. They push the notion that clamping down on honest people will somehow affect crime rates.
The latest Muslim terrorist passed a background check. He probably went through more scrutiny that any of the refugees Obama is bringing in and yet it turned out the guy was a Muslim terrorist. The FBI did investigate the guy back in 2013 after co-workers reported him for making threats and claiming he had terrorist ties. That should have been the end of this guy, but after 10 months, the investigation was dropped and they chalked it up to Islamophobia on the part of the co-workers. That is how things work in a politically correct society. A guy who should have been charged with making terrorist threats and not able to pass a background check instead was able to obtain one because of liberal policies. So, liberals, maybe if you didn't protect Muslims so much, the guy wouldn't have been able to carry out the attacks on Sunday. The fact that this guy slipped through the cracks is totally the responsibility of political correctness and liberal rhetoric.
There is such a huge difference in the way the left reacts to violence. Of course, they always whine about the 2nd amendment, but when it's a Muslim they look for anyone or anything else to blame other than pure evil.
A year ago Dylan Roof killed those people in the church. The left freaked out and labelled every Confederate flag owner as a dangerous racist and started removing the flags and Confederate monuments. They used one guy to paint the entire south.
When this latest nut job carried out his attack, the left did the usual circling of the wagons around Muslims and warned us not to paint all Muslims in the same way. And then they blame guns and act like all NRA members are the same as this guy.
Hypocrite lefties have become so predictable and stupid.
A gun store owner did set some of the media straight, not that they'll change their propaganda and start telling the truth.
"The gun store owner, who is a retired New York City police officer, make it crystal clear that Mateen passed a complete background check conducted by Florida law enforcement and the FBI. Henson also put an end to a false report that seemed to floating around, "There is no such thing as an abbreviated back ground check, even though that has been wrongly reported." And according to Henson his shop has never sold any body armor in its history.
Henson also slowly walked the press through a scenario that demonstrated that even a credentialed police officer needed to go through a process to purchase a firearm in Florida:
If a law enforcement officer walks into this gun store, in full uniform with a firearm on their side, that officer cannot make a purchase on a firearm. If you can believe that. If that officer has a concealed carry permit in addition to his credentials he can make a purchase. There is a full back ground check done on that officer at that time. Hard to believe, but that's the truth. If the officer has no concealed carry permit, that officer has a three-day wait, and that doesn’t include the day he purchased the gun or any holidays and weekends.
To cap off his comments, Henson pleaded with the media to stay focused, keep the facts straight, and keep the victims in their prayers. "I just hope that you do some truthful reporting and get to the facts and stay focused, at least for the incident and say your prayers for the victims. It is horrific and we all feel that same pain.""
