Liberals And Learning: Oil And Water

Well PC if its that bad then by all means you could help change it by becoming a teacher and

1). Taking a huge pay cut and surrendering your earning potential as teachers do
2). Teach you conservative views but just don't teach how great America is because a parent like me would be the loudest and first to complain as that is indoctrination... let the kids decide if America is great
3) You could also teach how the south was wrong about their slavery stance and what a terrible period in our history it was
4). Deal with daily parental complaints on your efforts
5). Deal with kids telling you where to go rudely

If you can handle those that's a start and perhaps its time for you to enter the education field

1. Experienced NYC teachers earn well over $100K
2. "...don't teach how great America is because a parent like me would be the loudest and first to complain..'
I'd explain in simple language to your progeny what a dope you are.
3. "Deal with daily parental complaints on your efforts."
You've seen my posts...you really think I'd have a problem with them???

I wonder why the schools that get more tax dollars do worse in terms of results.....

Couldn't be because those are impoverished residents who have a fuck ton of despair in their lives and their children often turn to crime, ignorance and apathy.

N'aw, it's got to be the actual stuff they're teaching! Yea, that's it! Genius points!

/derp bubble

compare the schools of the inner cities that get money thrown at them..and their country cousins, who don't get any money, but who are every bit as desperately poor.

Hmmm....maybe it IS what they're teaching them.

We have learned that poor kids don't want to learn.

That's about it.

It's not an indictment on the school system, it's an indictment on the parents and a sociological/psychological peek into monetary stress and depression.

On the contrary.....the evidence presented by each and every one of your posts is that you have never shown any learning, in even its most rudimentary forms.

In short, if everyone was like you, the wheel would yet to be invented.

Where did you find "poor kids" referenced?

Do you think schools with the most tax payer funds are due to them being in ritzier areas, idiot?

Your posts and theses are all consistent, in that they all show a real remedial ability to learn on your part.

In conclusion, the irony of the OP is not just a reference to the periodic table.

Put aside your condition and focus like a laser: Where did you find "poor kids" referenced?

It's so easy even

well, no, you apparently couldn't figure it out.

"the quality of education provided varies inversely with the taxpayer money ladled into the system."

The answer lies within knowing which schools receive the most taxpayer dollars you retard.

Yet another example of your superior writing style, gt.

Let me guess..you were eddicated in one of those poor city schools.

Just a guess.

What a huge error to allow Liberals to control the public education system.....education is not in their plan.
The decline began when Liberals took control of the schools.

That's when government schools....the public education system.....became no more than indoctrination or re-education systems.
Fact.
Standardized testing, and international competitions, prove that they certainly aren't teaching.....

Another fact....a strong argument can be made that the quality of education provided varies inversely with the taxpayer money ladled into the system.

When, exactly, did the public decide that, rather than reading, writing, and 'rithmetic, producing little Progressive automatons was what was required?

When they shut their eyes to the damage Liberal control of their children's education wrought.

She cites Jay Bennish, the high school teacher caught on tape comparing Bush to Hitler and saying the U.S. is the “single most violent nation on planet Earth,” as evidence. She also lists a number of schools busy banning Christian faith references, while forcing students to participate in activities of other faiths.

4. And this nails what has happened to education since Liberals assumed control:

a. Teaching Math In 1950′s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit ?

b. Teaching Math In 1960′s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100 His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?

c. Teaching Math In 1970′s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?

d. Teaching Math In 1980′s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

e. Teaching Math In 1990′s
A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it’s ok. )
Since education is a state function are you suggesting that the national government take over education? I thought conservatives believed state and local governments usually did a better job. Have you now changed your mind and do you have any evidence the federal government would do a better job than the states? Well you think you know best.

".... are you suggesting that the national government take over education..."

'Suggesting'???

Wake up, bro....!!!

When was I ever shy about my aims???

Suggesting is a weak, Liberal term

I mean for those without the best interests of America, the social engineers, the multiculturalists, the communists, in other words, the Liberals, be kept far away from our children.

Clear?

"Inner Cities" are not "Every bit as desperately poor" as rural areas

You know, it could have just a little something to do with the fact there are fewer people/businesses in rural school districts.

fewer people/business = less money = fewer students

Sorry to point out the obvious.

PC you stated teachers in NYC make 100 Grand per year. Where I live teachers start out at a miserable pittance wage of $30 grand per year and peak out 57 grand. I know because I served two terms on the school board. Its a whole different ball game. Those teachers have served my kids very very well for my kids and you would be hard pressed to find any so called empty rhetoric "indoctrination" going on. The fact they are doing well is supported by very high graduation rates with most going onto further training and education and only in rare instances do we have them hanging around or serving in the military. The teachers you love to loathe are active members in our community and are positive forces in our churches and other organizations. Are they overpaid? Not in any way shape or form. In fact, they are underpaid in my estimation. I never understood those on the board who constantly fought against a raise for them. That is a sick twisted mentality and is very short sighted. Yes, get rid of the bad ones I agree. But the vast vast majority of the teachers here are hard working dedicated people and to paint them all with a broad brush of course is wrong. I also don't subscribe to teaching that America is bad, and I don't support a cheerleader mentality either. Say the pledge every morning as is done here, and that's enough. The school holds a veterans day ceremony as well with the kids leading the program. But if I see a flag waving fake teacher hiding behind a false air of patriotism spouting this to my kids yes I would have a problem. I would be you would also. I'm sorry education is so bad where you live. Here it is flourishing. We want to keep our good teachers and it is not wrong to pay them properly. They serve a great purpose. I know its not like that everywhere. I also agree changes need to be made but if you have a good thing going, you need to step up and pay to keep it.

The OP is incapable of reply unless it includes some blathering, mindlessly stupid rant against a poorly defined boogie-man, "Liberals."

Well said Samson. What constitutes a so called boogie man "liberal" anyway? Socially I am more so called "liberal" and therefore things like gay marriage and other social issues are of no relevance to me and pose no threat to my way of life as a heterosexual married with children male. I also vote so called "conservative" on financial things. So therefore I guess I am a moderate. Some thing one must believe all of one side or the other. Authoritarians I call them. Their logic holds no water whatsoever.

1. "PC you stated teachers in NYC make 100 Grand per year."
No, I didn't.
Based on seniority, teachers at the top can make way over 100K.
Starting is about 45K

2. Teachers, by and large are not the problem.
As is true of most professionals, they intend on doing the best job possible.

Then there are folks like you, who hate America, and see 'social change' as their job, rather than imparting knowledge.

These Liberals need to be booted out....

....like these Liberals:

"The California Federation of Teachers (CFT)passed a resolution at its most recent convention claiming that “the continued unjustincarceration of Mumia Abu-Jamalrepresents a threat to thecivil rightsof all people.” Thirty years ago, Abu-Jamal took away Philadelphia policeman Daniel Faulkner’s foremost civil right: his life. How obtuse of the CFT to disregard “the threat to the civil rights of all people” represented by someone capable of gunning down a man tasked with protecting the public.

The pantheon of leftist saints includes the Haymarket Square bombers, responsible for the deaths of eight Chicago cops, Joe Hill, murderer of former police officer John Morrison in Salt Lake City, Huey Newton, murderer of Oakland policeman John Frey, and Leonard Peltier, murderer of FBI agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams. Notice a pattern?"

You said "...just don't teach how great America is because a parent like me would be the loudest and first to complain as that is indoctrination."

Couldn't be more Liberal.

So now I hate America... you are funny, I got to hand it to ya. The point you totally missed is that I don't want a teacher bashing nor cheerleading America. Let my kids decide if America is or isn't great. That is not a teachers job and I wouldn't think you would want that in a classroom.

What nonsense.

But I accept your retreat.

Thanks to Progressives, 1/2 of our Inner city school children can't read or do math and our best and brightest continue to fall further behind the rest of the world.

Oh, we spend more money on education than any other nation too, both in absolute terms and per child

Funny thin is, I've raised kids for 30 years and I have yet to see much difference in what is taught, just that the timetable was moved up a year or two. When I was in 8th grade(1975) We had to learn Algebra.. My first son had to learn it in 7th(1992)..Today my 12 year old son is in 6th grade and learning Algebra..
Miss Coulter needs to get away from her glass house and try living like the majority of Americans do...if she wants to write anything that actually resembles what really goes on in the US, and not the occasional bumps humans have...that gets exploited for political points..

You still have summer reading?
