Kentucky clerk is a democrat

Misty, no one is ignoring you.

SCOTUS turned her down. Scalia has said those with religious objections to federal and state laws should resign.

Either she gets on board or she stays at the station.
She is supposedly asking to be removed.
Well she can't quit on her own, because she need to be somehow "victimized" so she can become the celebrity martyr de jour who sacraficed for one woman several man marriage!
No that's not it. For some reason they are claiming because she's elected she can't resign.

Doesn't matter impeach the pompous, judgmental bitch

Dock her a years pay

"Because she is an elected official, Davis, a Democrat, can’t be fired from the position for refusing to comply with the court order. If she is found guilty of misconduct, Davis could be imprisoned for up to a year, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. The state legislature can also vote to impeach her, the paper noted, though that seems unlikely since most Kentucky voters oppose same-sex marriage."

Yes she is.
We'll tell your friends to stop knocking republicans about this.

This isn't about party, this is about ideology.

Would you say this woman was a "liberal" or "conservative "?
Lol oh ok. She's a liberal Christian. They do exist.

Nothing is stopping her from resigning.
From what I've read she can't resign because she's elected. I'm not sure why.

She can't be removed or fired without being impeached first because she's elected. She can resign whenever she wants.

The fact that she refuses to do her job in protest of gay marriage pretty much defines her ideology as "conservative".

What evidence do you have to support your claim of her "liberalness"?

Ya, she'll probably got to jail before that happens.

She'll probably just get fined, but that's what she wants. She think she's a martyr.

She needs some jail time. Maybe she will meet a nice girl to settle down with. Obviously she can't be happy with a man specific man. Time for her to come out of the closet.

Meanwhile, Davis has made it clear she has no plans to step down as clerk.

“It’s what I love to do,” she had told the Morehead News last fall, during the race for the clerk position. She touted her experience in the office, and the fact that her mother was previously clerk, as evidence she had “what it takes.”

But more importantly she's a Southern thumper.

What difference does it make if she is a conservative or a progressive.
She is wrong! Period.

Be specific. What about her "lifestyle" makes her a "liberal"?

I can see impeaching her but putting her in jail is ridiculous.

She can either get with the program or she can resign. Since the legislature does not convene until January, leaving her there holding the entire county hostage to her grandstanding is ridiculous. She has been ordered by the governor of Kentucky and SCOTUS to issue the licenses. Put her in court and give her the option of resigning, issuing licenses or going to jail.

It makes a difference cuz ya all thought she was a republican. But she's not.

Look I don't care about gay marriage.

But knocking the whole Republican Party on account of this chick is incorrect.

She's a democrat. Her family is all democrat. Her mom who had the job before her is a democrat.

Her 50 marriages. The way she had kids. Her working as a clerk for the government.

It doesn't make a difference. Only to you maybe but you have to get over that little hurdle.
She is not doing the job she was give to do she needs to be fired.
She is wrong to impose her religious ideology onto others.

No doubt. That makes a better story as a martyr. If they can raise $1 million for a pizza place that SAID they wouldn't cater a wedding that they had not been asked to cater, imagine how much money can be raised for a poor Christian woman who tried to stem the tide of immoral behavior that goes against the bible?? That is what she wants. And the religious right will ablidge her.
